What if you stopped a massacre in a gunfree zone with a gun?

I wouldn't bet on what might happen in the courts. In the situation yesterday, if someone had stopped him after the first shooting, you would never really know that 30 more deaths would have occured. Even if he appeared to be ready and armed to kill a lot more people, you'd never know what sould have happened in the end. Of course, one murder is enough for the shooter to be stopped. You just wouldn't have the headline " 30 people saved when shooter dies".
