Mnnn DeLisle...

I was talking to the Calico Rep at the last gun show (I'm not sure If he was the Owner or Engineer, and I'm terrible with names :(, but the company is Local. ) the topic of the DeLisle came up, the fellow said without hesitation that they could make one for me, and that they had some Einfields still around the shop.

I didn't dare ask the price, but I'm going to be a very happy man once the 2 younger children are through Pre-K's tuition fees.

...Would love to keep hearing about this saga...Please post any updates regarding your quest. :)

Clearly, you will wind up with a DeLisle before me... ;)

I'm still working on mine. It's a RAMO build FA M2HB. I had an old, shot out barrel that I cut down from 45" to 18". I haven't been able to function test it yet. There are a few things that can be done to make it cycle properly with the reduced barrel weight if it becomes an issue.

I was thinking about having a contest here to have someone develop me a sling system/shooting mechanism where I can stand up and walk a short distance with it and fire it from the hip ala the minigun in Predators. Without the optics of course.

What would really be badass is to have a backpack ammo holder and a feed chute to the feed pawl. I'm 75" tall and weigh 275. I can stand up and hold 150 lbs without a sling. I'm not talking about running around with this thing. I'm talking standing still and dumping a belt of 100 rounds of muzzle flash and 190 db reports.

But the problem is, is that I'm not mechanically inclined.

BTDT...

About ten years ago I found and owned a pair of consecutively numbered HK P7M10s. Owned 'em, shot 'em, sold 'em.

I used to be all about that "Holy Grail" thing...the wife was clued into it and each time I found "it" she would ask me ''What is next".

Honestly, since then, I don't have an answer to that question. I came to realize that I can spend the remainder of my life pursuing one material object after another (as I have been doing for 55 years), or I can, in words of a friend and wise man, start wanting what I have instead of having what I want.

I'd like to own a Registered Magnum, but that is a desire, not an obsession. If it happens, it happens; if not, I am perfectly happy with the S&W revolvers I currently own. Which is not to say I don't look at others. :)

Same here.
Holland and Holland double with appropriate engraving and beautifully finished furniture.
Caliber, maybe something in the nitro express family. Not real picky.
I turn 40 this year, so I'd like to get one relatively soon and beat it up in the African bush. That way when a niece or whomever inherits it, it'll have lots of character instead of being a wallhanger only.
Holland and Holland is the bee's knees.

For me, I would like to purchase a S&W Model 627 Performance Center 8 shot .357 snub nose (pre-lock only) revolver.

In my opinion, this is one of the best looking revolvers ever made!

Thanks .........

There is something romantic and yet usefull. Beautiful but yet utilitarian about a Holland and Holland. Maybe its the capstick novels I have read, or the fact that even the cheapest double is out of my price range, but they are the guns I dream about. BTW thanks for the picture for me to drool over bronco
