If you were able to take an established revolver design, and make some modern update changes, what are some of your choices ?

My first possibility is a LeMat centerfire SA/DA, 9 round .357 (.44 Mag., etc...) with optional 20 or 12 gauge (possibly .45/70, etc...) in the center. I bet that would knock your socks off !

What new versions would you like to see ?

7 or 8 shot (whatever fits) 327 fed BUNTLINE SAA.

Colt Revolving Rifle in 327, 357, 41, and 44 mag

NAA mini swing cylinder 17hmr 4"

Actual production runs of Taurus raging 223

Taurus J frames in anything other than 22 or 38 caliber (yes...caliber)

Trooper mkIV 3" adjustable sights full underlug high gloss royal blue

Last but FAR from least, 50bmg scaled up Gatling.

Webley Mk VI, optimized for .45 ACP

M1917 S&W revolver, updated to not need moon clips.

Nagant M1895 revolver, modernized with a DA trigger pull suitable for a normal human.

32, 25, NAA upscale mini swing cylinder.

Long cylinder, 6" barrel 45 colt SAA style revolver conveniently capable of firing 3" .410s

50AE raging bull 4" ported

Modern materials in a Smith New Departure pattern top break in 32 mag, 38spl, 30 carbine

Ruger Gp100 327, 30 carbine but best of all 300blk

Maybe something along the lines of an updated version of the Webley-Fosbery in .44 Special and .45 ACP.

I would like to see Taurus make the 8 shot 357 again double action only 3 inch barrel in a lightweight frame. I wanted The original in the standard frame but, waited too long and they stopped making it.

S&W revolvers without the infernal lock. Ruger Blackhawk Bisley convertible in .357/9mm. Ruger LCRx 3-inch in .357.

On a retro note, I think revolving rifles look cool but they have some practical drawbacks and the Rossi Circuit Judge is just hideous.

I'm working on 3 particular caliber conversions which would have been great to have available as factory models.

Old Vaquero .357mag 5.5" barrel, stainless, Bisley w/ carbon fiber grips, 2 spare cylinders for "convertible" options - one in 9mm, the other a .357mag cylinder reamed to accept .357/44 Bain & Davis Magnum. If I can find a 9mm cylinder, this will be real by spring.

Old Vaquero in .45colt converted to .480Ruger using a take off cylinder and barrel from a Super Blackhawk .480R. I'm cutting down the barrel to get rid of the SBH base and front sight, then putting on a Vaquero front sight.

Ruger GP100 with custom cylinder and barrel converted to .256win mag. I'm sitting on a donor gun to have Gary Reeder do a conversion job to one of his Banshee's, since none of these parts exist. Going to have it D&T'd for a Leupold scope mount and a rifle scope, probably a Leupold VX3i 4.5-14x40mm. 6.5-7.5" barrel. Probably not going to have a front sight - not made to be used without a scope. MIGHT send it to Bayside Custom Guns after it gets back from Reeder to be converted to a FrankenRuger free float shroud with a bipod mount.

I'd like an H&R 999 with a better trigger and sights, the Hopkins & Allen style top latch, and added models in 32 Long and 38 Special Wadcutter as well as 22 LR. Never gonna happen; top breaks are apparently economically unfeasible to make any more, and why would anybody want a centerfire revolver in anything less than 357 Magnum? :)

Double action that works as smooth as the old Colts. But, it has to happen with no hand fitting. Absolutely interchangeable drop-in parts.

Okay, maybe that is a pipe dream.

I'd like to see the new Kimber recover with a 3" barrel and an exposed hammer

Or for S&W to release a 2.5"-3" M66 with no lock. They already brought back the 4" version! How about in scandium with night sights?

Aluminum (or similar light weight) framed Smith model 65 with a 3" barrel, good sights, and no lock.

Hmmm. Sounds kinda like that 3" LCR...

L frame 41 magnum with a 2.5 to 3" barrel for the carry market. They made S&W 69, so it wouldn't take much design change to make it happen.

1 piece barrel please. 3/4 under lug. All Stainless, or all deeply blued parts. Fixed night sights. A REAL wood factory grip that actually fits someone with a larger hand.

I guess it really isn't a modernization of an old design, just an offering I'd like to see.

I think the bad guy in the HBO show West World is using something similar to a LeMat. If you're a fan of the gun, but haven't watched the show it might be worth your time. He uses the secondary barrel for barrier penetration.

I'd like an H&R 999 with a better trigger and sights . . .

Better trigger for sure. Screw assembly instead of pins for ease of tuning/maintenance. The sights are pretty dang good already, but maybe offer fiber optic versions. Also, drill and tap the top strap/barrel for a possible mini-red dot mount.

If this was remade today, I can see it costing $550 or more easily. :D

A Lematt chambered with 357 or 41 magnum, and a 500 magnum in the center would be kind of interesting.

If S&W would bring back the fixed sight 5/681 with a half under lug barrel I would buy one infernal lock and all.

Looks like Westworld on HBO almost has your fantasy gun. If you can substitute .38 short for .357 magnum, that is.
