Was shooting out at holey lands but got shut down by wlm officer last week so looking for a new spot, any ideas?

Been a member blade forums, knife forums, jerzee devil forever. Been shooting for awhile but got back into it serious about 2 years ago. Shooting more fun than choppong wood i guess! Still love blades though

When i lived in ct was a used book store of some renown. They had a 1st edition dune that i lusted for. Never had the loot then

Frank herbert was a renowned survivalist i read. Based a bunch of his content in the novels on his experiences practicing and teaching survival in arid climes. Was from oregon or wasington if i remember correct, which seemed odd to me at the time

Thats the one!

I found it in a used bookstore in Colorado Springs in VG condition. One section on pages was loose and the counter guy tried to take it off the shelf and throw it in the trash because of it. I told him he'd draw back a stump if he touched that book. They wanted 8 bucks for it but he sold it for 1.50 and tax because it was "in such horrible shape". I took it home and repaired it with binder's glue. As I mentioned this edition goes for 75 bucks on sleezebay

I belive it. The one i saw, probaly 15 years ago was about 200. Was nearly mint, hardcover if i recall. Ive probably burned threw 4-5 paper vrrsions since the 90's when i first read it. Was easy to find them cheap 1-2 bucks at used book store back then.

Hi, my name is Erik and I'm located in occupied California and I've been shooting for more than 40 years. I've been lurking for a bit to get the lay of the land and decided I'd better introduce myself. I've primarily been a Trap/Skeet/Sporting Clays guy, but I've recently started shooting rifles as well. I've been a shotshell reloader for 20+ years, but I am now also starting to reload for rifle/pistol cartridges. I'm looking forward to learning from you fine folks!

Hey all, I'm new here, been reading a bit and decided to say hello. I currently have one pistol, a Taurus PT111 G2 and I have zero complaints with it. I'm trying to learn all I can about firearms, the industry, the history, etc. Hopefully, I can contribute in short order.

Hello, fellow enthusiasts. My name is Tony. I am interested in everything and anything that is firearm related. Over the years, I've gotten so much good information, from various THR forums, and articles, that THR became my favorite 'go to' place, for information, on whatever popped into my head, or, to research new technology. I have been around firearms for my entire life and have a great love for the sport, the history of the sport, as well as, the direction in which the sport is going, paying particular attention to threats that would further regulate, impinge upon, or, outright revoke, our rights afforded us by the 2nd amendment to The Constitution of the United States. Although I am a civilian, I am well travelled, and, I have owned, and/or fired and cleaned more weapons than most. I rarely hunt, anymore, and find that target shooting, for me, is almost a form of meditation. It is my hope and intention that, through this venue, I will continue to learn, and also pass along some of my insights to anyone who is in search of a solution to a problem. Knowledge is power. It, also, can save you a bundle, LoL, especially, in this sport! I'm always looking to try a new gun, accessory, caliber, or load. I enjoy a great many but, love relatively few. Still, I'd love to have a couple of each! One to shoot, and one to keep pristine. If only! Here's to keeping our sport alive with continued progress in safety and support. In closing, I would like to remind everyone to reach out to your Congressional representatives and let them know how you feel about our sport. God Bless America!

Hi, I'm the second slowest practical shooter in my club! That doesn't stop me from having a good time and I don't miss. Though I am interested in the sport, I also believe in the 1st and 2nd amendments as the foundation of our country and they must be defended.

I noticed that when I was looking for information on various firearms, this site frequently came up. I am no longer a active shooter; bit I like to keep up and follow various discussions.

Primary rifle-- AR variant. Some say that people shouldn't build their own AR's; but I like tinkering. My "store bought" AR is back at the manufacturer being repaired. My Franken-AR is dong just fine.

Primary pistol-- Glock 42. It replaced my Colt .380 Government model. I was never really happy with the fact that my holsters frequently disengaged the safety on the Colt. It used the type 80 disconnect; so there was never a real risk, I just wasn't comfortable. However, I have just purchased a Kimber .380. I have no comments on it as it is still on the way to my FFL.

Other than that I am also an amateur radio operator.
