Does anyone share my opinion that the new page layout on Gunbroker is not at all an improvement? I gave myself a good period of time to try to get used to it , but I still hate it. To me the previous layout was much easier to scan. There was nothing wrong with it!

There's my gripe , if anyone wishes to comment.

I think they did it for mobile devices. Before the change I could not move caliber list around on my phone. Now I can. So the change has been positive for me.

I got kicked off of there recently, honestly my fault and not proud of it.

But it's been the best thing for my wallet in a LONG time. Used to scour and buy from GB almost weekly it seemed like!

I stopped looking at it right after they made the change-- not because of the change, but because they wouldn't let me register to bid without sending them a bunch of stuff. Since all they do is connect sellers and buyers, what's the purpose of having my driver's license, passport, mother's hair color, and my cat's favorite food? ;)

Moparnut - What you said makes sense , but I still have a strong dislike for the layout - much harder to scan with too much empty space.

Cooldill - You have my curiosity - if I may ask , how did you get kicked off of 'Broker?

My thoughts exactly! Now it's just a confusing, jumbled up site filled with a bunch of ads and auctions I have no interest in (yeah like I have been looking for that Ferret Scout Car to complete my armored vehicle collection)!

I have never used Gun Broker to buy anything and probably never will, but I kind of like the new format. Its click and view just like the old interface.

I dislike it intensely. Immediately switching to List View makes it better, but not as good as it was before the changes. It takes a lot more time for me to scan through the items for sale. That may have been their intent, but it has had the effect of discouraging me. I easily spend less than 20% of the time I used to spend perusing the GunBroker listings. After over 250 transactions, mostly as a Buyer, the changed format has simply driven me away. Gone are my casual visits just to see what is out there - now I only spend the time navigating the 'new and improved'(?) format when there is a specific item I am looking for.

exactly this, very well said! gunbroker’s new format will save me a chunk of money. actually i could say that gb’s new format is a good thing since it will help me cure my “addiction.” so to whatever boy genius who dreamed up gb’s “new, improved” format, thank you.

Now that cat food is awfully important!

I agree. It sucks, and sucks the more I try it. Even using the "old" format at the bottom you can use for a limited time. The search sucks more now. It picks up things that have nothing to do with what I'm looking for. Recent searches for rifles have guns showing up that have nothing to do with what I asked for. I've bought quite a bit from GB but it's so frustrating I'm about done. I don't know why they changed but heres my conspiracy theory and I've heard a lot of similar ones. Some of the tech support people that don't like what the site sells suggests changes that makes using the site harder so it drives customers away. Another thing we here and see "fake news" but it's the same on social media. A regional, conservative talk show host (who is VERY fair to all) noticed on Twitter the "Trending" button always pointed him to political or lifestyle views the same as mass media and nothing to do with his search history.
