I grabbed a number of these bags back in the day.

Big center pocket, with a velcro flap on either side, and six pockets big enough for two BAR mags, and a handy (if skinny) shoulder strap. Nice rigid bottom, too. Price was right, around $10-15. Only add-ons are the paracord on the zipper and the IFAK on the shoulder strap

Wasn't really looking, but was at a gun show (Fort Worth, if memory serves) and saw this one in Navy "blueberries" camo, and dropped the $20 the vendor wanted for it.

A bit bigger, handy for rifle stuff (long enough to stash an uncased spotting scope & tripod; enough pockets for every random thing you'd want on a bench. Decent shoulder strap, too. Only the three "magazine" pockets, and a bigger, single pocket on the opposite side. This one also has an IFAK on board. (It's really blue, I swear, phone camera color correction is wobbly out of full sunlight.)

The "six pocket magazine carriers" are available, off and on, from the online surplus places, for about $25. The bigger bag is now $30 from the dude who works the Premier gun shows.

A little pricey but a serious heavy duty range bag. I've been using mine for about 3 years and it's holding up just fine.

I have one very similar to this. Got it from Academy for half the price. Very rugged, many pockets, pistol magazine slots and I have loaded it up with four handguns and all the ammo, PPE, and gear for all four of them many times. Of course then the thing is VERY HEAVY when I do that! That is the only negative aspect of this range bag.

It kind of depends on what you want to carry inside, doesn't it? How many guns/magazines? How much ammo? How big are your targets? Staple gun or can you make do with tape? Or do you shoot at an indoor range? Optics? Coffee can? Tool kit? Cleaning kit? Chronograph?
There's a lot to consider if you want to fit it all in one bag.

I carry a range box by MTM. Plenty of room for cleaning/maintenance items, ear's, eyes, targets, staple guns etc...plus a rifle rest. Another case carries my chrono, another my scope. I do have a small pistol bag...which is nothing more than a heavy canvas tool bag with a few pockets and room for two pistols, ammo, ears and a few other items if I just want to go plink or hit the inside range where space is a bit more limited.
