It looks to me like 1.06" will clear in a minimum chamber w/no leade. I've not got past mocking up to evaluate the OAL It will be interesting to see what others have chosen; I'll be using the 1.06".

RMR 124 gr TCFP Match Winner ... What OAL have y'all been loading this bullet to?
1.080" for my KKM and Lone Wolf barrels.

1.06 should clear the minimum SAAMI OAL. That said, SAAMI is stupid so don't limit yourself to SAAMI spec. My 2011 barrel lets me seat them out to 1.125 without issue. I'm loading my 147s out to 1.145-1.15 depending on the lot. That is very long and probably won't work great in other guns but my M&P storm lake barrel seems to handle them okay.

It's not about smart or stupid, it's the 9mm luger standard. I like being able to shoot my ammo across all my 9mm arms, and even allow it to be shot in guns belonging to friends without needing to plunk test it first. If I had some reason to load as long as possible this might be seen as limiting, but in reality I don't benefit from doing so.

Lately it seems, even factory barrels are being made with shorter or short leade.

My Sig 1911 has virtually no leade and requires significantly shorter max OAL than other 1911 barrels.

BTW, working OALs used for various RMR 124 gr jacketed bullets are for my newest Lone Wolf barrel with shorter leade.

I've been looking at these bullets myself. Just loaded my last 1700 115 gr xtreme hollow point plated bullets. Working up a load for the 2000 rmr 124 gr jacketed HP's with titegroup powder. Figure by November I better have my plan laid out for trying these out. Keep us posted with your results.

About 1.08/1.09 for me, I could go a bit longer but my pistols seem to prefer shorter.
They shoot well for me but I prefer the MPRs as no exposed lead on the base. (lead issues in the past)
Close call accuracy wise between the two, slight edge to the MPRs for me.

RMR MPR JHP and Silhouette
Load # 116 RMR IH 124 Gr JHP 5.5 Grs Silhouette- 5 Inch Colt.JPG

I logged the RMR MPR JHP at .559 +/- .002. I just measured 7 of the RMR TrFP MW at .555 +/- .001.

The MW has a little more bearing surface, but I figure seated to 1.080 +/- should give similar pressures/velocities.

There is not much wiggle room at 5.5 Grs of Silhouette pushing a 124 Gr jacketed bullet to an Avg 1157 FPS. It is just getting into +P range.

Will likely try 5.3 to start.

I get this, and these are the first jacketed bullets with an exposed lead base that I have bought in some time. Curiosity killed the cat. (But I was suspect for awhile.)

Me to, I tried the 124s and have some 147s I need to try as well.
I have tried a couple 147s in the past but just seem to prefer 124/125s.
Not in a panic about exposed lead bases but like to do what I can to minimize my exposure, don't want to take the way high blood lead level road again, not much fun the first time.

All and all I am really happy with the MPRs, they make ammo that shoots better than I am capable of shooting it.

I went by memory (Always a bad thing), and it turns out that the TrFP actually has a hair less bearing surface than the MPR.
RMR TrFP MW vs RMR MPR JHP Both 124 Gr.JPG

I ended up loading the TrFP at 1.070 to 1.075 (Although most were 1.073 to 1.075) OAL, just like I did the MPR in Load #116 with 5.5 Grs of Silhouette, so it is .005 less deep in the case with a hair less bearing surface. Seems to be a very hard bullet though, may make it tougher to move?

I loaded 25 with 5.3 Grs of Silhouette and 25 with 3.9 Grs of Sport Pistol. I used a batch of 50 test brass. Blazer, 60.24 to 61.02 Grs (No primer), .746 to .751 long (Sized) (with most at .747/.748). I used CI 500 primers.

If work will leave me alone long enough (Been in twice already), I'll go shoot them. I plan to shot them over the chrono on target with a 3" P-365, a 4.5" XDm OSP, and a 5" Colt 1911 (.38 Super with a 9MM barrel).

I loaded 100 test rounds with BE86, 20 each of 5.3-5.7gr. at 1.06". Will do accuracy testing with 10 of each tomorrow and chrono the other 10 in my next chrono session. I have plenty of plated bullets for slower loads; I'll probably reserve these for full-power.

Thanks for posting the photo of how you segregate your cartridges using Post-Its and a touch of pen to the primers. Gave me a solution I have been looking for.
I came up with this system after I spilled some identical looking, but two different powders, test loads on the bench one day.

Same here, but wanted to test them at "Minor" power level with Sport Pistol for folks who are interested, I'll post those results in the 9MM & Sport Pistol thread.
I do have a few pounds of Sport Pistol about, so it'll probably get tried later rather than sooner unless the BE86 load shoots so good I use the bullets up. Since I started shooting .357 mag and 40S&W I find myself wanting my 9mm somewhat warmer..
