Until recently I've used the MBC coated 125 gr SWC (BHN 18) to an OAL of 1.086. I just recently got some RMR 124 gr RN plated and have been reloading to an OAL of 1.160. Both reliably feed.

I've also been looking at the RMR 124 Gr. RMR Hardcore Match Hollow Point RR Plated (11-12 BHN).

I'd prefer to only use one bullet profile as I have to recalibrate the dies each time I change from one to the other and I'd rather "set it and forget it". I don't shoot competitively, just shoot for fun at the range.

What profile makes the most sense given what I am doing?

You're not shooting competition with it, and they all feed, so go with what's cheapest and just blast away.

If you're lucky the profiles of the different bullets are close enough that it may not require a die adjustment. I've loaded several round nose and hollowpoints that didn't require changing the seating stem. The RN and HP's varied in overall length but the ogives were close enough that the seating stem touched the nose profile at the same area making seating depth correct. Your SWC's and RN's may have a much different profile?

Make dummy cases , bullet and brass - no primer or powder, after determining proper seating depth for that bullet and your gun(s).
Next time you want to load that bullet , use your dummy case to set seating die , thus eliminating the need for time consuming re-calibrations.
This method is not high tech, but it works extremely well and it's fast.
Set it and forget it only works with one bullet , change the bullet and you usually have to change the setting. Not all bullets of the same weight and nose shape have the exact same profile.

All three bullets have shot well for me., with the nod going to the RMRs.
I really like the 9mm 124 RMR FN but as they have been out lately I have been using the 124 target hollowpoints. I load both about 1.08-1.10. (can't all seem to shoot about the same shorter OAl ups vels just a bit)

Don't forget both companies offer THR members a 5% discount with the code.

This load is soft and shoots really well for me. Right at the 125PF edge if it matters.

Here is a thread about the FNs, The target HPs seem to shoot about the same for me as the FNs.

Both companies are great to do business with.
For me the MBC cones shot better than their SWCs. (cones at 1.10 OAl)
