Just got an update from the smith with pics

My old FN SPR action, squared up, cerakoted
Bolt Knob conversion
Proof Carbon barrel chambered in that crappy, obsolete .308 win
McMillan Game Warden stock, pillar bedded

Now I need to decide on a scope

It's a thing of beauty.... even if it is in .308..(grin). Post it again when you get the scope on it. Love that Cerakote.....Buddy of mine had one of his Cerakoted and it's not only good looking but durable.

I am one of the few that still really likes the .308 Win. I know it was never top of the heap for long range shooting, or anything else, but it still does everything pretty well and it has been there and done that for long enough to trust. Snazzy looking rifle. Know about what magnification and features you are looking for in optics?

The .308 doesn’t shoot flat enough you need the 6.5 creedmoor.

I still love me some .308

I would say why 308, but I have followed a lot of your posts on here.
I dig the stock.
What bullet are you planning on using?

Nice looking slayer. Still less obsolete than my useless 30-06 relic caliber.

I too would be interested in how those Gamechangers do, I haven’t seen those either. That rifle is sweet, you always have good plans with your bolt actions.
