HK P30L: What do we know?

Overall impression: I love the P30 and P30SK, and after shooting my friend's P30L, I wish I had a P30L along with the other two.
Trigger pull: I sampled the DA/SA V3 and didn't love it, so I went with the LEM V1. The trigger is a little stiff at first, but after 750 or so rounds, it is significantly lighter. With either version, depending on your brother's experience, he may have to really work to learn the LEM. I'd say it might take 300 rounds before it is comfortable to him. It's not a great trigger like a 1911 or anything, but I've found that it's not bad, either.
Grip: The stippling on the full-size P30s is subtle and really effective. The overall grip design is quite comfortable and ergonomic. I like it.
Carry options: I like carrying my P30 in a Stealthgear OWB, like @460Shooter. Stealthgear has a huge discount offer right now to VIP members, so right now would be a good time to buy one.
@Winkman822, I have to respectfully disagree on two points. Two years ago, your comment would have been completely accurate. Now, though, prices have fallen significantly to the point where the P30L is under $600 routinely and magazines are under $37, often less on the used market because of the offer last year.

Of all the plastic options out there, HKs are my favorite.
I remember thinking I didn't ever want a polymer gun. Three HKs later.......

I haven't looked at P30L prices in quite a while. I bought mine almost three years ago when the price of the P30L was hovering right around $1,000.00. The last HK I've bought was a P2000 V2 LEM which I paid around $600.00 for with night sights and three mags.

Yeah, I don't know HK's reasoning on that one, but I agree. The stippling feels surprisingly different.
I agree; I wish the grip was "grippier". I've had two over the years but no longer. They are one of the most accurate guns I've ever owned. I had the "light LEM" trigger and I thought it was very appropriate for a "pick it up in the middle of the night half asleep" trigger. Fairly long pull but reasonable from a pull weight perspective. And very smooth. Ended up selling/trading them. Minor regret but more along the line of "well I can't have them all" than "dang... should a hung on to that one".
Edited to add: The one I traded I ended up with a S&W 686+ no lock. Last dash number before they put the stupid lock in. I'd do that again in a heart beat.

Though in John Wick II he forgoes the HK for a Glock, probably due to the death of his wife and the subsequent reduction in family income he could no longer afford the HK magazines.
