They had another non bull barrel but it had fiber optic plastic sightsI've been wanting another Ruger .22, and that SS with the standard barrel contour looks mighty handsome to me. Just never took a shine to bull barrels.

They are much beloved additions to my growing Ruger family.
It’s actually 7.5” but they call it 8”. And yes some of the older models had longer barrels (it’s a Mk II) on the target models.
That looks like a 6 7/8" barrel to me, but with Ruger you never know. Not trying to be a smart a__, but where are you measuring from?
Bolt face to muzzle. Take your cleaning rod, put it in the barrel all the way down to the bolt face, mark it and measure that.
