Para

Nice looking pistol. I have a P12, and if you have as good luck as I have, your in good shape. They are underrated pistols to me. They are very well built, and very accurate. The only problem I see with them is that the mags cost an arm and leg.

Nice gun! Congrats!

Never owned a Para but I've always been intrigued and have looked at a number of them over the years. Let us know how it shoots and enjoy you're new .45!

Not sure exactly what model that is but I've seen similar Para's selling new from $700 - $800. You could probably find out on gunbroker pretty easily I'm sure there are some selling on there.

I have one of the large P-14 45 lda. I like their lda action for carry, although this one is too big and heavy. I also have one of their P-10 45's and find it a bit small . I am thinking about getting one of the single stack smaller lda models for carry. Their double action is the best I have ever shot.

Nice! My Hawg9 is a great little pistol. That Fedral EFMJ that you're feeding it is a good choice too ;)

sweet. i paid right in the price range. ( lower end before taxes.) and yes, mags cost a arm and a leg at local sources. with a full mag, shes definatly a heavy gun, and may not be suitable for carry. but still, with 15 rounds of .45 you wont feel undergunned anywhere short of Iraq.

range report coming saturday probibly. maybe even a P14-45 Vs SW1911 shoot out...

Shot it today. put about 100 rounds through it. no problems. dead on accurate. shot much better than the SW MP i rented, better than my friends glock 40, better than the SW1911's iv used in the past... over all i have no regrets. Trigger is smooth and has little little play. heavy gun means the recoil was light. sites are good and clear, no problem gettign the blade back in picture. im really impressed.

had a 4 shot group you can cover with a quarter ( droped the 5th round when loading the mag)
and a 10 shot semi rapid fire group you can cover with 2 fingers.

all my shots are a little to the left. i know where your shots hit can tell you what your doing wrong ( holding too tight, too loose, jerking trigger, etc) can anyone tell me what nice tight groups, consistantly like, an inch to an inch and 1/2 to the left mean? i do this with almost all handguns, so i dont believe its the sites

$729 is about what the Gun Rights and Limited single action high cap models go for around here.
