I got one just to try the ejector but I assume I can't use the spring-loaded Gen-5 doohickey with Gen 3 trigger bar, connector, etc, right?
Aye, but I’ve seen at least one report of a guy installing a gen 4 housing and fixing his gen 3 BTF issue. Maybe I’ll just throw it in and see.
I would guess Gen4 ejector trigger housing working in Gen3 models.
OP and I discussed this in PMs.Gen3 and Gen4 trigger housings are interchangeable. The reason for the different part numbers is because Glock changed the ejector face angle in the Gen4.
Gen 4 .40 ejector with 9mm extractor works better. Brass goes mostly 5 o’clock or up, some hit my right arm, but none to the face or left. No FTE yet.
Thanks for the update ... < Taking notes >put the .40 ejector back in and shot a couple more mags. Brass straight up or to the right, some hit my shoulder which I’m not fond of, but none to the face or left yet.
I also thought they had to angle the connector a little more to fit the “short frame” but I could be wrong on that and probably am.Gen3 and Gen4 trigger housings are interchangeable. The reason for the different part numbers is because Glock changed the ejector face angle in the Gen4.
I haven't had any issues with Gen3 G22/23/27 properly extracting 9mm brass using conversion barrels.Haven’t tried .40 ejector with .40 extractor yet because I was getting occasional FTE with .40 extractor when shooting 9mm. I guess it’s possible that the new ejector would fix that issue but it seems more logical to me that the .40 extractor doesn’t quite fit within tolerances when shooting 9.

I want the gun to cycle, feed, and eject properly.
