Ditto specifically a Canik SFL for me....I'll try a canik 40 if they ever show up.

Edit: Well heck, apparently they DO make one now: https://armscor.com/firearms/ria/rock-series/rock-ultra-fs-40-sw/
None.
I don't buy pistols that way.
I find a platform that works for me.
Caliber is what ever it is.
Nope. Got rid of my .40's before it was cool. I didnt/don't hate it or anything. It was just a casualty of caliber consolidation.
Not a single one. Not to derail the thread with 9mm vs .40 vs .45 vs 10mm nonsense, but .40 just isn't a caliber I'm interested in.
None. Went through my .40 S&W phase with SIG and Glocks quite a few years ago.
Only pistol I can think of that I would possibly want to buy in .40 if it were available.... P08.

Not a 9mm vs. .40 S&W thread, I swear on all that is holy. I am as sick of those threads as most of us.
Another poster stated in another thread that they would buy a certain pistol if it came out in .40 S&W.
Which got me to thinking that, yeah, there are some pistols out there that if they were offered in .40 S&W, I would buy one ASAP.
First is the Glock Gen 5. If they come out with a Gen 5 G23 or G27, I would get one.
Second is the Hellcat. A 9-round .40 S&W version would be awesome, as would a P365.
However, due to the current atmosphere of discrimination against the .40 S&W, more manufacturers are choosing to ignore consumers who still favor the cartridge.
What pistol or pistols would you buy if they came out with a .40 S&W version?
I didn't know the thread was also titled:
"I don't buy pistols in .40S&W"
I'll second this.Only pistol I can think of that I would possibly want to buy in .40 if it were available.... P08.

Seeing as that pistol could barely shoot 9mm reliably, I don't think that the P08 will ever be made into a .40S&W version.
Original Post:
I want a steel frame, exposed hammer, full size pistol in .45 ACP that's not a 1911. Any suggestions?
Response:
Buy a Glock 19. It's the best.
That misses on 4 out of 5. I'll give you that it's not a 1911.
A Glock 43 but in 40 S&W is the most tempting I can think of.
Not 40, but i wished alot of guns were made in 9x18 or 762x25.
Monac. Any of them. Anyone that is being produced. Prefer a striker fired with a rail tho. Glock 19 size in 9x18 would be perfect. And a g17 size in 762x25 would be good
I'm not Robbins290, but I'll answer:What guns do you wish were made in 9x18, Robbins290?
