I see you also prefer crossdraw when riding.
I do. I used to use a strongside holster, but decided it rubbed the cantle of my saddle and when cantering or jumping logs, would sometimes get out of position.

Great photos of some truly beautiful country! Not so much of a view though from the south end of a cattle herd! And that's a mighty fine looking dog you've got there too (a bit on the big side but really friendly lookin')!
LOL yeah riding drag has it's downsides! The dust is probably #1
My horse is a real sweetheart but she knows a thing or two about being mean.
She's been known to bite.
Cows, mostly, but occasionally she will take a nip at me. She hasn't actually gotten a hold of me in years. It's a game she likes to play.
Best mount I've ever had.
I am envious of extremely few men.
Welcome to the podium.
I shoulda’ been a Cowboy, should have learned to rope and ride...
I can ride, that's sure, but I'm not really too handy with the rope. I practice a few times a year just to retain the low level of skill I have, but I'm no roping genius.
Now a whip? I'm good at that.
I have always enjoyed the ranch work. It sure can be frustrating sometimes but it's honest and rewarding.
And truth be told, I'm kind of a part timer these days... I had to get a real job when I grew up.
My wife and I try to take photos and video to share with the world as the way my folks run cattle is a dying method. There are just very few place left that do it this way.
I will say that it's a hard life for those who choose to do cowboyin' full time.
