I made up some shotshells a while ago using .45 Auto Rim cases and Speer .45 Colt plastic shot shell capsules and #9 shot. I used a 45 ACP taper crimp die to prevent crushing the shot capsule. Those are some scratches and not splits on reloaded cases. Used them several times. They work great and do not protrude from the cylinder.
I would like to see the top of the barrel how that sight was installed many of those 1917’s were cut down like that and my Colt 1917 has a barrel bulge in it. I may cut it down maybe 3” would look cool.
