I just recently got into shooting a scoped rifle (Savage Axis .308 and Weaver 6X24)
I was getting 1/2in. groups at 100m, but I wanted to eliminate shadow by moving the scope closer to my line of sight. That involved moving the rings back one notch on the rail.
My problem is; when I went to re-zero the scope, there wasn't enough elevation adjustment. My rounds were hitting 8in. low from the center adjustment and the scope has 300 clicks from stop to stop. My shots are vertcally centered.
Any ideas on what changed, or what l can do to get back on target?
