Worked alot of OT since covid came and I work at home at the moment, enough cash flow that i could purchase 2 guns relatively close together, I had been wanting another 625 since I got rid of my performance center like an idiot, guy on the local traders website had a 625 JM with 13 moonclips and 225 rds of .45 acp and auto rim assorted for a good price so I took it. Likewise I had been wanting another semi for concealment and couldn't find a sig 365 for a good price, a stumble into academy for fishing gear had one at 549.99 so I took that one to. 20210127_203914.jpg

Well I needed the cash at the time. The last one was the performance center, the trigger on that one was alot better than this one, a trigger job is in order for this baby.

Yeah, understand, we do what we have to do. My 625 is just a regular 625-4 but I had it worked on by Cylinder & Slide. It has a superb trigger.

Again, congrats on the new guns.

So happy this was not a Webley-Fosberry thread [:)]
I was hoping it was. Seriously cool gun, but not very practical. What OP has is much more practical. The 625 is a gun I just don’t understand. I like it but outside of a game scenario I can’t imagine an actual use for it. I like them and would love to have one. Moon clip revolvers are fun, I just don’t care for .45 for some reason.

Ok, brain is not coming up with the answer--but did Mataba build a semi-revolver?

625 one of the few S&W 45acp I could shoot well. The autos just never fit my hand right. Wanted to like them, they were well made, but just did not fit me.

Nice pick-ups! :)

My 625 is a gem. It shoots like a 44 special or 45 colt, but in a caliber that's normally cheaper and easier to find.

I got a couple guys nearby I think I'll take it to. I may also try replacing the serrated trigger with a smooth one

N-Frames are just a bit too large for me to shoot them double-action, and the P365 is not my cup of tea, but I am glad that Barry The Bear is happy with this combo. Enjoy!

I have carried mixed pairs, at times. Auto-pistol and revolving pistol; life is good. :)

I have relatively large hands...I can palm a basketball and wear size 11 gloves. The N-Frame is a perfect fit for me. Here are two of my preferred firearms, a Colt Combat Elite in .45 ACP that has been worked over by both Wilson and Turnbull, and a S&W 25-9 in .45 Colt. Great hand-filling ergonomically wonderful firearms.

I don't have large hands (size 9 motorcycle gloves) but my M-25 in .45LC is one of my favorite revolvers, and I shoot it pretty well.
And the 1911 is my favorite semi auto handgun, so I am with you on all counts.
Neither is high capacity, but I have BTDT, and sold them all.
I will sacrifice capacity for absolute accuracy, and that is how I have arrived at my carry choices.

If your packing a .44 mag like in Alaska then the revolver seems to fit the hand pretty good as compared to a .44 mag stick magazine handcannon.

I purchased a 629 in .44 rem mag and soone found I didnt like the S&W wood grips it had, I replaced them with some rubber grips that help with grasping and recoil management.

I find the ACP revolver with a 4” tapered barrel ideal for carrying. The large chambers and bore keep the weight down yet the cartridge is sufficient to carry the day.

Nothing wrong with that. For me most of the time I do carry a semi auto but I also happen to love revolvers, so I have begun putting my sp101 into rotation even though I realize that in ways there are downfalls to carrying a revolver. I wish all revolvers came cut for moonclips because they do help a lot.
