No doom and gloom allowed in here, what are you hopeful or looking forward to in 2021?

I have two silencers that should have their stamps approved this year, and I'm contemplating taking up sporting clays and learning all about O/U shotguns. Also looking forward to more range time with my older daughter, and getting my younger daughter to the range for the first time.

I would like the ammo supply to loosen up and reloading components become plentiful.

I would like to find a .22 competition within driving distance of me. Rifle, handgun, three gun....I dont care.

And mostly to get covid in the rear-view so our kids can experience normal life.

Could always have a gentleman's postal match....

Would like for things to calm down price wise in all and firearms. And maybe find a decent outdoor range within a 30 min drive of atlanta. Also for gas to go down so I can take more trips to the range.

Same here... I like shooting 38 special and 22lr, but my stock of both loaded ammo and components is getting low. Sure would be nice to find some powder and brick of primers at sane prices about June.

What a great idea! I'd certainly be interested in that; maybe post a new thread with rules, etc? If you decide to, let me know.

One goal I'm looking forward to is turning one of my CZ52s into 9x18 and another into 9x23. Really dig those pistols and have 4 of them... so far.;)

After that - it's all about suppressors from .22lr to .308.

I'm not too excited about anything new though that funky little double-stack Ruger's catching my eye. I simply will not shoot, drive or ride anything in its first year.

It will be very interesting to see what the consumers' effects will be of the CZ/Coltination. I've always been a huge fan of both lines.

2021 is the year of starting raw-feeding of our dogs as an additional justification to taking hunting as seriously as I once did. Just gotta find me an International Harvester freezer. Damn, but they're hard to come by!:cuss:

Our daughter and her husband live in town (Pocatello), so they used to drive out here pretty often just to go down to the gravel pit and do some shooting. Sometimes we would go with them, and sometimes they would just stop by the house for coffee afterwards to show us their guns and/or their targets.:)
It's been almost a year since they did either. But my wife and I are only 9 days away from our second covid vaccination, and our daughter texted last night and said that she and her husband are lined up for their first covid vaccination at the end of this month.
So I hope ammo and components come back pretty soon. Because by the end of April, the 4 of us (my wife, our daughter, our son-in-law, and I) should be ready to get together and go shooting or whatever again.
Besides, I've mentioned in other threads that I'm looking into buying a .257 Weatherby for my next rifle. As soon as I get my second covid vaccination (Pfizer) I'm going to get serious about shopping for one.

While leaving the range Saturday after shooting an RPR .22LR and .45 Colt BH (rather poorly I might add) I stopped by a bay to watch 6-7 CASS shooters. All looked to be 65+ and moving slow. No pressure. Lots of ad-lib joking. Guy in charge called everybody together and read from a laminated card the next stage to be shot. Was a scene out of a 60s western with Sammy Davis Jr. BAM!! The hook was set.

I never knew that part of the sport was recreating gun play from old westerns. Got out of truck. Talked a bit. Friendly bunch. Got home and completed the application for CASS. Got my first choice alias and now reading the rules. Local guy in charge already e-mailed me. I have all the appropriate guns and most of the gear plus I reload so I’m ready to go.

Kinda excited about 2021 now. Just looking to have fun and shoot with people in an age group who knew who Sammy Davis Jr. was. Plus it looks like I’ll be the youngest guy there. Been a while since I could say that.

A retired Cop Pal & I are looking at that and sad-old-farts-with-Service-pistols *competition* in the coming months. Shoot a little, grab-ass a little, reload a little, rinse&repeat. Liberally sprinkled with; burgers, beers, cigars and whiskey.

No heads in the sand but not wallowing in the mire of *doom and gloom* either.

Todd.
