I like my P32 from Kel Tec. Here is what mine looks like (pic not mine)

7+1 of 7,65mm aka .32 ACP. Not much of a stopper but I have a small lot of military surplus red primer sealant S&B that gives a nice strong pop and surprisingly brisk recoil. It is far more powerful than any .25 or .22. But still recoil is quite manageable and follow ups are quick vs. a .380 and you do get one more round in the mag.

Despite the crude sights the gun is surprisingly accurate. Also I have never had a malfunction in 600 rounds of European .32 ammo. Most American .32 is loaded light and just about worthless. The gun weighs an incredible 7 1/2 ounces and is ridiculously thin and easy carrying all around.

It’s sort of a janky little gun appearance wise but as far as reliable and hitability, the quality is there. Again .32 is by no means the most effective but as a deep concealment or last ditch backup gun and using the hottest ammo available, it beats harsh words.

Despite how ugly this little gun is it finds its way into my pocket on occasion. I kind of like the darn thing.

My P32 is the gun that I carry when I can't carry a gun. It actually eluded being wanded with one of those hand held metal detectors once when I forgot it was in my pocket. Not that I was doing anything nefarious, but the morons wanted a "gun free zone". Too bad, you can wish in one hand and crap in the other, and see which fills up first.

I like my P32, also. It's fun to shoot and very reliable. They're nice little pistols. I've read hardly any negative comments about their reliability.

I wouldn't try to put thousands of rounds through it. I have a Beretta 81 for that. But if I shoot a few boxes of ammo through it a year and put an occasional new spring in it, it will probably outlast me.

I just shoot ball ammo through mine, like the OP. In case any of you didn't know, there's also a different magazine you can get for it that adds a couple of rounds or so and gives you a little more to hang onto.

I prefer a similar 380 for carry, but wouldn't feel unarmed with my P32.

Mine was a "rescue gun". It obviously came from a home where it was not cared for properly. I gave it love, cleaning, a few drops of oil, and a new mainspring. It's been happy ever since. :)

I have an LCP in 380, but still want a keltec p32 to go with it. Hard gun to find in stock. I've heard occasional reports of Rimrock but far more owners report no issue so I am still interested.

The smallest practical carry option on the market is the p32 imo.

I like that Kel Tec is willing to continue making the P32, but I would like one with better sights and a lighter, crisper trigger. Both of those are things the LCP II has, yet Ruger may as well tell me to pound sand if I want it in something other than .22 or .380.

I researched that and rimlock will not happen unless using short OAL hollow point loads. When using proper FMJ loads which are longer overall, it is a moot issue. .32 is best reserved for ball for defense. Most hollow points do not expand in the caliber and if they do, they tend to under penetrate.

Yeah, for a larger .32 like the Beretta 81, hollow points will expand and some will get adequate penetration, but for the short barrel P32 the best choice is a solid bullet, be it FMJ or the Lehigh 50gr solid copper ammo.

The Keltec P32 is the Keltec I want!
Keltec doesn't have the best reputation for reliability. The little 32 the 380 seam to have a good following and the best reputation of the brand:D

I've had a P32, P3AT (basically the same thing, in 380), and a P11 (small 9mm).

I still have the P32.

I used to carry the P3AT, until I felt the trigger of a used LCPII. I gave the P3AT to my FiL. It still works fine.

The P11 was "dirt cheap". It had some rust on it and was the filthiest used gun I have ever purchased. I gave it a thorough cleaning and put maybe 2-3 boxes of ammo through it with no problems. The trigger was so stiff that I eventually traded it towards something else. Maybe someone with an extremely strong finger owns it now and enjoys it. :)

My Kel-Tech pistols have all been ugly, but they've gone bang every time.

I agree completely.

The Beretta 81 .32 really are an excellent weapon, the longer barrel gives nice velocity readings. But it’s a big gun and was really meant for policemen. The P32 is much, much thinner and conceals better and is far lighter.

From most of my research it seems 8 rounds of hot .32 stitched up a goblins torso will solve a lot of problems, and my P32 is my no excuses “all the time” gun no matter what. A Series 70 is sometimes not on the table.

How many gun manufacturers are still producing guns in 32 Auto in the 21st century? Beretta, Kel-Tec, and Seecamp? And how often can one find ammo for them at a LGS at any given time?

In 2012 I bought a used P-32 at a gun shop. I had to repair a machining flaw for the gun to cycle. But once it was fixed, the gun ran great. Evidently, they shop never pulled the gun apart when they bought it off the individual, or they would have seen it.

Sellior & Bellot and Fiocchi were the easiest ammo I could find locally back then. And I think that was because the co-owner of the shop owns a Sig Sauer in 32 ACP.

I reckon I’m the luckiest Sumbuck in the gun world.

I have 2, P32’s, a P3AT, P11, PF9, and a P 30(?)/22 mag. I’ve used these guns extensively and don’t recall any issues with any of them.

And to add to Kel-Tec’s credibility, many consider me to be a gun snob and are surprised that I even own such “junk”.

Edit: forgot about my Sub 2000

A business acquaintance of mine has his Class III license and has a wide variety of firearms... the P32 is what's on his person. He is a fan, and I highly respect his opinion.

So, I have one too. No muzzle flip, all 7-8 on target. "Mouse Gun", sure, but this caliber worked pretty well for the Euro police for half a century or so. Note: wish I could tell you why, but a KelTec tech person told me specifically: do not dry fire the P32.

P.S. I'd like to find one someday in silver over navy, there are some interesting factory color combos out there.

Up until 2019, Walmart carried Winchester .32 ACP and every gun store I've gone to has always had .32 ACP on the shelves, the problem is they order much less of it than they do .22 and 9mm and don't get bulk pricing for such orders and they have to sell it for much more than 9mm.

Not a problem when people order it online.

My kel tecs have both been flawless. P-11 and Sub-2000 and they are so good I just want more. I do believe keltec produces more lemons than other brands, but I've always heard they aren't shy about just replacing firearms.

My perception is that a good one will be 100%, and they'll let you draw again in the unlikely chance you get one of their unfortunate duds.

I also love that they innovate. One of the few to really do whatever they can and push boundaries.

I have had the green P3AT for quite a few years, but always wanted the P32...for the extra round, and the last round hold open feature.
Finally picked up the grey P32 just before the plandemic. It has performed perfectly, and often finds its way into my pocket. I bought some S&B mil .32 fmj from SG ammo right after I bought the pistol. I load a Hornady XTP in the chamber, and first out of the mag, the rest fmj, when I carry it. As the other poster said, it’s pretty accurate. I wish it had decent low profile sights.

I've always wanted a P32 but every time I thought of buying one I found something else I wanted more. First was the Guardian 32, then the Beretta 81 and now waiting for Kel-Tec to make more. I won't hesitate again.
