Nice case color NEF receiver! The colors have held up well. I have one as well, with a 28" 20ga barrel that I have frequently used for ruffies. Mine has faded and gone quite straw colored. They are so abrupt to flush that one shot is frequently all you get anyway!
What a fool I was

Most of it is that the RJ Anton stock; it is one solid, beefy, chunk of wood.
That's the way I felt about it at the time but not so sure about that now. If it did it again THEN I would be really unhappy.I don't know about that. A transfer bar that breaks would have me doubting the gun. It's hard to restore trust when you've been betrayed by something so basic to the safety and operation of a firearm. Any firearm.

Decent is relative friend.
Some not so well heeled have managed to get by with Pardners, 37s, etc.
They seem pretty decent to me.
Well heeled?
I used what little savings I had, a tax return, and the first stimulus check to pay for that Ljutic. I was also lucky that the guy I bought it from was willing to take payments over time. I have owned several H&R single shots over the years, and a Win. 37. I realize thier utility, and seem decent to me, also, for thier intended purpose. But I have only seen one person shoot Trap at a competitive level with a single shot of that ilk, and that was because that's what he had, he worked at the Trap range, and was a natural shot. Had he continued shooting Trap, I'm sure he would have eventually got a gun more suited for it. But there's a reason you don't see the 16 yard line full of H&R Toppers (even the Trap model; yes they made one), and there's a reason you don't see me bumping around the woods with my Ljutic.
Decent is relative friend.

Not elitist at all; What's wrong with appreciating something nicer than some low-priced object? Too many folks with wealth envy I guess. Most of the other guns kick like mules, typically don't fit most folks very well and do not hold up to a lot of vigorous use like that Ljutic - but as Entropy said, it is a specialized use item made for one specific thing - ATA trap singles - and for that it is one of the best made for that purposeYou are confused.
My comment was not towards you but towards the elitist remark made by “George P”
I didn’t find the remark elitist at all. And like George P I believe Cooper was an elitist. You are confused.

At one time I had the 24C "Camper's Companion which broke down and had a carrying case but mine was 22lr over a C bore 20I guess I have two single shots counting the Savage 24 in .223 over 20 ga. The other is a Stevens 940 in .410.
