Got a chance to shoot a Glock 48… and I’ll tell you that it’s probably the only Glock I actually enjoy. My grip feels just the right width for my hand it’s narrow enough but also not super narrow. A full tan round mag on like my shield.

The only thing I dislike is the trigger safety feels quite rigid and angular when I’m shooting and I got a little bit of a blister on my finger from it. Has anyone shaved that trigger safety down and organs totally replaced the trigger?

Because if this can be solved I may actually buy a Glock 48

Some people get stung by triggers for some reason. I’ve never had that problem but there have been threads about how to help that. If you get a chance to shoot the 43x, it balances better and feels even better to shoot(to me). And now with 15 round magazines available you can have the capacity of a a G19.

Before I moved to this god forsaken state (CA) I got to shoot Glocks 43 and a 43X. Loved ‘em! Same frame as the 48, pretty much. The 48 was released after I transferred here in November. 2018. We actually moved our household in March 2019. Had I been smart I wouldn’t have given up my Oregon license until I moved and I could have bought a G48.

Anyway, enough whining.
Yes, you can put a different trigger in. Lots of different makers.
Before doing that though, figure out what about the stock trigger bugs you. Normally I have no issues with Glick triggers but when I bought my G45 there was the slightest “mold line” (line formed where the mold halves come together) on the trigger itself snd the trigger guard. Between the two they rubbed my trigger finger wrong. I didn’t get a blister but it was irritating.
I solved that problem with a small file.

I envy you buying a G48. :)
I am retiring next July. The first two guns I plan to buy when I move are a G44 and a G48. :D

In NY I’m limited to 10 rounds. Shot the 43x and while I like it I was more accurate with the 48.

It’s the fact that the trigger safety sticks out even when the trigger is fully pressed. If it became flush with the face of the trigger when pulled I’d be better of.

I didn’t shave the trigger shoe down in my Glock 43X, I didn’t trust myself to fiddle with it and unintentionally making it not work right... so... I replaced it with a Vickers flat trigger shoe. That was a piece of cake. :)

The Glock 43X and Glock 17L I own both had factory grooved triggers with the tab just a bit proud. I hated them from the minute I fired them. I put an Apex flat trigger kit in the 17L that looks and works just like the Vickers shoe does. (I wish Glock made these flat triggers standard... especially on their long barrel target/competition guns!)

With every Glock I own I Dremel just a bit of the edge off the right side of the trigger guard. No matter the model, the factory radius at this spot rubs a blister on the side of my middle finger after a long day. It doesn’t take much to take the sharpness off and improve the feel.

I will second the 43X/48 grip as being very good for my mitts, the 9mm double stacks are a little bit blocky and the 43 is just too small for me.

Stay safe.

I too like the G48. I'm headed out this morning to shoot 100 rounds through mine. Just put some TruDots on the slide and wanna shoot it some more. It really is a neat gun. The ammo tends not to last due to "fun factor".

I like the 48 for concealability, but prefer to shoot the 19, as it just fits my hands better. My 48's trigger felt like gravel (seemingly a common complaint on the 48), so I replaced it with an Apex flat faced trigger. That was a huge improvement.

I regularly carry my 43X. I lightly sanded the edges and tip of the trigger safety for a bit more comfort. Not much needed.

My wife shot the G48 pretty darn good yesterday. First time out for her with it as well. Time to bend up some kydex for that joker....

What holster are you guys using I'm looking to upgrade from the one that I have now Azula OWB probably not spelled right
