This........

Just for gits and shiggles, a couple of weeks ago I weighed my pants after Mrs. Johnson mentioned how i could carry all that. I do.
"Used to it" I replied...Over 6 pounds! with all my normal carry -ons in my cargo pants!

I am sure LEOs carry a lot more!
Pistol looks a little that like the DA AMT backup

I found the Kahr P380 as the perfect fit pocket gun. Too bad it was not reliable. Sent it back to the factory a couple times, spent way too much in ammo attempting the break it in. The factory even replaced it. More accurate than G42 w fantastic trigger but I finally got rid of it. For me G42 is not really small enough for pocket carry.

Ah, that "other side of the Iron Curtain" esthetic!

Pocket carry. I have pocket carried various .38 snubbies, an LCR, and one or another of my XDS-s. I now have a Kahr CM40 that I may end up pocket carrying. (Yes, it barks pretty loud, but not as awful as I was afraid it would be. Would prefer 9 for this, but got it relatively inexpensively.)

Care with the position of your thumb if you want to keep your digits under combat conditions. That is the grip that the gun gurus teach, I just think it is not a good idea for mini- pocket pistols.

With mouse pistols you want to hook your thumb down.
With the supporting hand cock your thumb down, not along the barrel.

It sure seems like a bunch of y’all have bigger pockets than I do. Or maybe I care too much about printing. My pocket gun is a KelTec P32. Sometimes it is in my pocket, sometimes on my ankle. I couldn’t fathom a P64 in anything but a cargo pocket. And the trouble with putting a gun in my cargo pocket is that all my other junk already fills that up!

if one pocket carries, normally do not put anything in that pocket if there is a round in the chamber. Things can get between the trigger and the trigger guard. There is the old story of a purse carried glock getting a lipstick in the trigger guard.

Usually a SW j frame in any flavor of caliber, mainly 22mag(351c) or 38spec(642). Either in an Alabama Pocket Holster.

Do carry my G42 a lot as well, in an Alabama Pocket Holster also.

Trying to carry my G26 more, and in another APH! Imagine that! But weight of the weapon is really my main factor on pocket carry. So will see. But I do like carrying the G26 in my front pocket over carrying it in a cargo pocket. No leg slap.

I was about to say the same thing! An LCP fits fine, and a j-frame is good too due to the shape of them. But while a microcompact 9mm slides easily enough into my pocket, if I practice as soon as I wrap my hand around the grip it turns into a Chinese hand trap and I can't pull the gun and my hand out of my pocket quickly! I sure hope all these people carrying 9mm's are taking them to the range and practicing drawing from concealment.

There is a good chance you will not use a two handed grip. Thought should be given to firing with elbow tight at your side for any close encounter. Most often the case.

I was trained, practiced constantly and requalified for decades using a two handed grip, for me it's automatic muscle memory.

We all trained much the same, however, targets are not always at 10 yds and still.
1 yd is common. This needs to be addressed along with kneeling, and prone.
Sorry about getting off topic.

Ruger LCP-MAX, gradually easing past a Kel-Tec P32 ( the latter of which I've been carrying for ten years now.)

I have several others, including the P64, though I hardly consider that a pocket-pistol; if it is, so is my Kel-Tec PF9. Only the two above get carried with any regularity.
