.350 Legend.
A legend of what?? It’s a two year old cartridge, it has no “legend” to speak of!
That's funny! Made me laugh!

Blasphemy!!22 long rifle isn’t good for anything. Can’t even get out of its own way. Can’t reload it. Dead end.

Lol, I prefer .223 over 5.56.Great thread. For me, 6.5 Creedmoor, 350 Legend, 300 Blackout and all the other cartridges cooked up in the marketing department rather than Engineering. I’ve been around long enough to learn there really isn’t anything new under the Sun. Marketing comes up with a new cartridge to fill a niche that has been filled multiple times already.
I would make the case that, depending on one’s use-case, everything developed (promoted) in the last ~40 years is redundant.
Now, for a totally baseless prejudice, I have a strong preference for 5.56 over 223. Yeah I know, essentially the same, but still…
I also considered 6.5 Creedmoor as a “disliked” cartridge, just because I am sick of hearing about it.
We could go with the 22 Savage High Power shooting a 71 grain bullet at 2800 developed in 1912 and the 375 H&H made the same year and have the world covered 100+ years ago..270 and 6.5 CM, because of the hype. So many equal and BETTER cartridge.
7.62x39 because kommie bastage
.300 BO, AAC, Ham'r because
.350Legend same because
.308, annoying little brother of .30-06, trying to copy and not getting there.
The Nosier, the WSSM. nothing new, just hype and redundancies.
What cannot be covered with:
.22LR
.223
.30-06
.45-70
3 out of 4, over 100 yrs old and nothing better.
Changes / improvements in powder and bullets, just makes them better. No legitimate need for anything else.
Ok then, 6.8spc...
Well, if we don't give any reason then we just have a long list of cartridges. I took the OP to mean any good, rational reason, and the .458 Winchester is dumpy and ugly, so...
6.5 Creedmoore.
Its the official round of the "I need a diesel dually truck to pick up my groceries, and I need to put exhaust enhancers to make it sound like a semi, and idle it for 40 minutes at 5:00 AM" crowd.
Its also the official round of the "I can shoot, this scope/ammo/rifle just suck" crowd.
Its also the official round of the "I play C.O.D., so I must be naturally talented, so I need the best equipment, I'm going to buy a $1600 precision rifle, $400 in ammo, and do bolt-action mag-dumps because I don't know what to do, and am too emotionally fragile to seek help" crowd.
Most importantly its the official round of the "the magazine told me its the best round, and I don't understand the concept of bias, or misdirection" crowd.
That said, its a fine round and I have no real problem with it. Its just what comes to mind. Of course its adaptors probably have the same thing to say about me when I refuse to stop calling it the 6-5 Swede-more.
"oh that idiots part of the .308 is all you need to do anything from swat flies to disable satellites crowd. Probably still drives a carbureted car, and uses 56k"
