Vihtavuori Powder…do you use it?

I haven't used enough VV to create a final conclusion. (1# each 540 and 130)
Not going to knock it. 130 produced slightly better SD/ES in one of my experiments.
Trouble is, I can't seem to shoot the difference. :(
YMMV

Only ever tried N150 in my .308. Didn't find any better accuracy than BL-C2 or 4895 gave, so never bought any more.

The rest of the time I could never justify the cost vs. everything else that was available, given my fairly leisure shooting style, especially for pistola.

I love it but didn't really buy it often in the past since it was more expensive but now it's actually cheaper in Canada than anything made Hodgdon or Alliant. N110 is my go to for revolvers.

So y’all using the N320, one person said it didn’t meter very good. I’d be using it with a Dillon powder measure. Any issues?
no issues using n320 with my dillon powder measure. i use it for 45 ACP 200 gr swc. it is clean burning.

i once dumped a nearly full vvn320 onto my lawn when i accidentally "returned" 296 to the container( violated one powder on bench at a time).one of those moments you knew you messed up as soon as you did it. i thought of sifting the powder as 296 is a fine powder compared to the larger particles of n320 as the pound container was only recently opened and thought better of it.

I picked up some VV N320 last year to try out in 9mm. It works very well with my powder coated cast bullets. I will most certainly buy it again.
I almost bought a 4lb jug when I saw it available recently, but I have a bunch of other powders to use up first.

Not all of us have an LGS to shop, so online it is. A quick search at Midway shows.

W231 shows as approx. $38.00/lb.
Ramshot Zip shows approx. $35.00/lb.
VV N320 shows as approx. $49.00/lb.

Yeah, it's more "premium pricing" than others imo. But if it works for you, then go for it, it's your money to do with what you will and burn... so to speak. ;)

I load approximately 2000 rounds of 9mm from 1 pound of VV N320. That extra $10 is about 1/2 cent per round. Works for me.

That's the way I look at it also

Yes, but over the course of 100k rounds, that's $500.00.

They "only" charge me $1.00 per week for direct deposit of my paycheck, but that's $52.00/year x 10 plus years I've worked there, so. Yeah. All those half pennies add up over time.

It all adds up for sure.
I load about 1000 rounds a year, so not a big deal. I buy different powders just to try something new.
Yes, it will have a larger impact on someone that shoots competition.

That cost pales compared to the cost of the bullets and primers that 100k rounds would have cost you.
It would have cost you $10k just for the primers
The cost for bullets would have been another $10k
At 100k rounds, you'd likely also have had to replace your gun

I agree with the logic of that statement................

....................but...................................................

If you've got the need/want/ability to load 100,000 rounds-------$500 is the least of your cost concern....
If you can't justify $520 over 10 years------then there needs to be a different conversation....
Just my $.02........

That 2p will cost you ¥10 over the next 5 years.
