The all too frequent Hollywood image of somebody waving a pistola around with a limp wrist and shooting "pew-pew-pew" followed by all the bad guys falling over dead has fed the myth that handguns are a magic talisman that vaporizes all foes with zero effort or preparation.... which is decidedly untrue.

Watch this video, it might change your thought of those.

Guy buys multiple guns and ATF and State trooper show up to "check" the firearms. With 2 separate sheets of paper for 2 different transactions.

Good grief man....there a multi page thread here on THR.
If true, that there IS a national gun registry.......WHY THE HECK would ATF be coming to ask if you still had those guns?

In a REGISTRY, with REAL gun REGISTRATION......they would already know.

You've got to spend at least x amount of money on a gun for it to be good/reliable/accurate/whatever. Same thing goes for optics. Technology has advanced so well that a good amount of the time there's little practical reason to go beyond entry level or mid tier unless you simply want to. There are, of course, exceptions.

It's a mystery! It's a mystery wrapped in a riddle inside an enigma! The ATF don't even know! Don't you get it?

That the only things guns are good for is to kill people .

I've been a hunter all my life . I enjoy shooting skeet and trap . I enjoy target shooting .
For nearly 20 years I shot NRA Target Match with handguns in 22 LR , 38 special and 45 acp . We would shoot on Tuesday nights , indoor range ... like a bowling league . No money involved ... the range presented trophy's to the winners . It was a lot of good clean fun ... no one ever got into even so much as an argument.
You can enjoy the shooting sports ... guns are not evil things that jump up and kill .
Me and a friend even tought my son's Boy Scout Troup how to shoot skeet ... and I'm here to tell you ... them boy's had F - U - N fun, fun, fun ... each boy earned his skeet shooting badge too ...every one !
And I was so proud of each and every one .

Short action rifles are more accurate.

High bc bullets are required to hit a target or to kill game.

Attaching the name Creedmoor to a cartridge makes it magically better.

Rifle scopes need to go up to 20x or more to shoot past 100 yards.

Retained energy is no longer an important factor when selecting a hunting cartridge/bullet.

Yup, the old 'you get what you pay for' myth.
Of course you get what you pay for, did you think they were giving them away for free?
