This is not some big scary anti-gun issues. Manufacturers in all industries set constraints on how you are able to sell their products. The post says dealers are not allowed to sell on line or go below their minimum price. Again, not uncommon. When I worked retail, many years ago, all of the firearms we sold had minimum prices set by the manufacturer. If we went below that with out their blessing, they could cancel our account with them. The minimum price is usually somewhere between MSRP and wholesale. Usually closer to the wholesale end. So this is not some vast conspiracy, but most likely S&W trying to get some dealers back in line.
