I kinda get it but when I think of the word Ghetto I think ethnic enclaves. No big deal just not two words I would have put together. My mind went to “what revolvers did they have in Warsaw in 1932”. All good!

For modern production revolvers, the 3 inch steel frame 856 would tick a lot of boxes.

Since we’re going ghetto I choose the Charter “Off Duty” with the chrome barrel and cylinder.

Today's carry has been a Taurus Protector Poly in an IWB kydex holster.

I still keep an old department store mossberg as my out of the safe gun. It’s an 18 inch home cut down gunsmith special. I had to replace the safety switch and add a butt pad. But it cost me a hundred dollars and it’s full of 18 pellet number 2 buck. There are a few things in places around the castle. That gun ain’t pretty. But I have no doubt it will work for its purpose.

Yes the Rock Island revolvers are cheaper that either Charter or Taurus revolvers are and for a reason. Fit and finish are rough on the RIA revolvers. I handled several of them before buying the Taurus 856. Every single RIA had a very gritty trigger pull that made the Taurus trigger pull feel great.

Taurus 405 drilled a tad deeper to accept a 10mm cartridge. The 405 I had was a spectacular gun. I should have kept it. I won’t replace it at the astronomical prices I keep seeing though.

I have a few Charter Arms snubnose revolvers
Two 44’s , a 357 , ,45acp , 40 S&W
And two Taurus 38’s
Id probably go with my 357 Charter , 3 inch barrel and its a six shot


Alot of you know Im a Charter guy .. but honestly Im waiting on Charter to improve their quality a bit .. too many problems have emerged as of late .. the ones that I own are all good to go .. but I feel
its a roll of the dice with them at this point..
Charter offers what no one else does .. small frame big bores .. and overall lighter revolvers..
Hopefully they with get it together

I like the way that the Charter 45acp Pit Bull holds the cartridges in the cylinder.

This nice-looking Taurus is going to the range with me today.

I didn't vote in the poll. If you get a good example, they're both adequate revolvers. It's really more about personal preference.

For me it is Taurus 85. I have owned two. One is a 25 year old all steel 85 that is probably the best shooting snubby I owned before I bought an LCR. The second was an 85 in .327(I think the model was something different). It didn't fire and had to be sent back but when I got it back it worked just fine. Traded it off but still have the 85. My only experience with Charter Arms is the owner of a pawn shop I worked at in my much younger days wouldn't loan on them because he thought they were garbage.

Also, To Mr. Mosin's comment about a 20 gauge and .38. There was a time in my life where that was what I had.

Charter Arms Bulldog, 3" classic for me...I have an early 80's version that I bought new, it's never missed a beat...

Here you go. I am pretty happy with this Charter Arms .45 Colt. It ain't no S&W, but at least no lock. Easy pocket carry with an untucked shirt.

5 shot 45 ACP , full moon clips , 2 inch , ported barrel , fixed sights .
Carried since 2005 . The most accurate 45 acp I've ever owned ... the big holes just like to crowd in and cluster around each other ... the gun's tolerances are tight and everything is timed correctly ...
I can't figure out why it shoots so well ... maybe the ported barrel does allow more accurate shooting ... I'm not going to let this little power house get away from me ... why Taurus stopped making it is beyond me ... it's a keeper .

My new-to-me/free-to-me Taurus 85 police confiscation revolver. It came covered in rust with no grips. The gunsmith at the shop that bought it from auction cleaned it up I put the grips on it. They were in my safe from a previous Taurus .32H&R. It’s ugly but it shoots.

I like it. Just like my car, ratty looking but mechanically sound.

Either my Taurus 327 or my Charter 44 Boomer.

Having owned multiple revolvers from both brands, Taurus got my vote. A Taurus model 942 appeals to me.

I took it literally. Mine is a police confiscated gun from the actual nearest ghetto used by an actual, convicted gangbanger.

I like the new Taurus small frame 6-shot 38 snubs but I like the idea of a small frame revolver in a big bore caliber better even if it's limited to 5 shots. I have a CA from the 80's and so far it has been a good performer so my vote goes to the CA in 45 ACP or 44 Special.
My CA has been dry fired quite a bit with no issues. Is the firing pin/transfer bar problem associated with all CA's or just the newer ones?

I dry fired my CA 45 Colt bulldog a few hundred times before I took it to the range. It has had around 300 rounds through it with no issues
