Am I too dumb for a Tremor 3 Reticle? I think I'm too dumb.....

I just finished watching a tutorial on the Tremor 3 reticle and to be honest I not following a lot of it at all. I'm on the hunt for a quality scope and I've pretty much set my sights on a NightForce ATACR. I'm now trying to decide on the reticle. I was leaning towards Mil-XT but I've heard people recommend the Tremor recticle. I'm looking to get into more long range shooting with a sprinkling of PRS mixed in. For me the Tremor 3 reticle seems to have a LOT going on in it. Not sure if I'd get half out of it that the reticle provides. Who knows. Maybe I should get it and grow into it, though I think it will be confusing at first. The Mil-C reticle seems much more straight forward, but then again will I be holding myself back later down the road when I'm not so dumb anymore.......

Yeah, that reticle could be a hobby all by itself. Certainly not anything I'd be interested in - I still feel like the duplex is cutting-edge tech! - but for the fellow with the time and interest, why not.
 
If you are not going to dial for elevation it would work well.

I like the MOAR reticle.
Good for ranging and not to busy.
 
what varmint said. i use mil c and mil xt in my atacrs

there are some pretty high speed dudes that use the horus stuff. but i've never been a fan
 
Speaking of dumb, think about how dumb it is to name a reticle "Tremor."

A tremor is literally "the shakes." Sure, let's name our reticle, which needs to be dead steady, the shakes. That would have been a good name for a Vortex (swirling mass of liquid-like a toilet flush) scope reticle.
 
Personally I ignore the reticle, as they're nothing but fancy toys for guestimating on the fly in lui of a BC, my favorite reticle that you can't get is plain and simple set of crosshairs and mil-dots. Its gotton crazy, the reticles on my Vortex scopes are so busy its annoying, and same for Nightforce, Leupold and the rest of the gang. I compare them to having paddle shifters on a mini van. lol

Sounds like Troll Fuddery, but ok…

There are LOTS of mil-dot-esque, simple graduated reticles on the market, moreso than any time in history.

Just seem the high end stuff if getting on the band wagon too, such as Nightforce, they're old stuff was so simple
 
That's not the only reticle they have.
If you want the simpler MOAR reticle just get that one.

They will even put newer reticles in older scopes if you want.
 
I’m not a fan of cluttered reticles, it may be a thing for some fellas but I like a simple 1 moa hash mark design and also about ten oz lighter as well- man that thing is a beast at over 39oz .

Actually I contacted them and they said the discontinued doing custom work like that and they also stopped converting scopes mrad to moa or vise versa as well
 
When I find I just don’t “get” something, actually using one always seems to help out or at the very least solidify the notion that I don’t want/need it.
 
I've never cared for a busy reticle. On a hunting rifle where I don't plan to dial the scope I prefer an old fashioned duplex reticle. On scopes that I plan to range with and dial I like the old fashioned MilDot. I've learned to range with it pretty accurately but you can also use it for holdover if you desire.
 
Are their online classes to educate the user on what the grid means? And will I remember all the fine details in a moment of adrenaline rush?
