Rear bag suggestions?

Rear Bag Suggestions:

At our local informal league one of the few requirements are that all shooting is to be done from a Front Bipod and a Rear bag.

For the past two seasons now four of the top five scoring shooters have been using Armageddon Squishy Bags. I've just tried one and like it but still undecided on an upgrade from my Caldwell

I haven't even gotten my Protektor, and I already have a sneaking hunch that I may need a Game Changer for, umm, testing purposes. 🙄

I've been thinking of buying a rear Protektor bag for quite a while but confusion sets in concerning the ear length and bag height between the different 13 and 14 series. I use a Caldwell rock Jr rest with a Protektor front rest. What would be the most versatile option for use on different types of stocks (AR,CZ527,Mini14,lever rifles)? All I can decide on is I want the hard bottom.

I have both the bunny and rabbit ear bags from Protektor. I use the taller rabbit ear bag way more than the bunny.

I’m a bit of a bag snob, although I’ve sold all but the newest one I had special made to my specs.
I wanted flat bottom all black leather with a 3% slop and slick material on the ears. For my set up I need to capture and support the stock for a smooth and straight tracking rifle. I adjust the heavy sand level in the base to support the rifle but not push back or bounce, the ears are regular sand and quite soft yet again capture the stock once in place.

My nephew and his youngest. S&W M&P .22 LR with a red dot. Pint Size Gamechanger under the rifle.

When he had three shots left, we asked...."Which target do you want to shoot?" ..... "That far one." (161 yards)
I told him to imagine another 6" circle on top of the one he would be shooting, and aim at it. He hit it on
the second shot, dang near dead center. Pretty sporty. Stool needs a new top, been out there a long time.

What are the odds? :D

Call them. They’ll walk it through with you and help you get the exact bag you need.

I for yrs shot off a Harris leg notch bipod and ran a front bag at the rear, sand filled suede deal.

It finally fell apart.

Got some cordura front and rear bag combo, suede topped. Seems usable.

Skeeters horrible, range busy, ran down to the hundred and popped 5/8 group when checking zero.
Not gonna win matches w that but for informal the Harris and general shooting bag combo is good enough for me.

Do think a pedestal front would be mo betta from bench. But I dont need a true BR level one. Think Sinclair used.to have a varmint model reasonable.

I tried it out for the first time today. I like it, but it's just too short for what I was doing. I had to put about a 2.5" block under it. I clearly need to play with this thing some more.

Obviously that bag to totally wrong for your application. Soft bottom isn’t helping either, Protektor bumble bee would likely be a the bare minimum in requirements. Much Taller, hard bottom

Reason I went with 13b hard bottom I can shoot prone , bipod or typical front rest.
But nothing wrong with adding 2" block of wood when you need it
