I went to the range earlier today, loaded up the mags for my ruger mk.II 22/45, popped it in, pulled the trigger, and nothing. Ejected the round, pulled the trigger and nothing. I thought the firing pin might be encrusted with garbage or something, so I pulled it apart, and the last 1/4" was missing off the end of it. How could this have possibly happened? It worked fine last time out, and it hasn't been dry fired inbetween then and now.
Anyways, where can I get a good replacement? I remember back in the day I heard some people talking about an after market titanium one. Would it be worth it to get one of those?
