I've got a Question.

Im sure that I could find the answer with a quick trip to google. But i'll let my fellow THR brothers answer this for me.

Never looked into a class 3 anything. Living in kansas what could I apply for? for example suppressors, full auto, ect.

Just curious, not really looking into anything.

here's a link the bill that made Kansas a Class III state. i didnt read it a whole lot but I believe it states that Kansas citizens can own any NFA weapons or products, after following the BATFE registration process

Suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, full-auto, it's all good! (After big brother clears it that is.

) You need to get out to Ogden's Best Guns and look around, they have some good stuff and are the closest Class III dealer. Let me know if you want to shoot a suppressor sometime, I have a suppressed 22 pistol that is all kinds of fun to shoot.

I didn't know that was a class III dealer, thats awesome. I've been there a time or two. I little more selection than Pats lol

sorry for a quick hijack but IF i lived in a class 3 state and wanted to have a happy switch AR would the process and fees be a one time thing or would there be an annual renewal process?

paperwork and $200 tax is a one time hit. Nothing further unless you sell the item. Even then it is usually the buyer that pays the fees.

Of course you then have to add in the cost of a select fire AR which can be as high as $18,000 depending on condition.

The only way to legally build your own machine gun in the USA is to obtain an FFL ($200/3 years) and pay the Special Occupational Tax ($500-$1000/year). Then you can build and register any title 2 weapon. When going out of business, you can keep all of the silencers, SBS, SBR, AOW and DD's that you make, the machine guns you made have to go away.

Anyone correct me if I am wrong.
