gun parts on craigslist?

sometimes...usually in sporting goods..search option on craigslist isnt bad...just have to pick a word in what you are looking for that is pretty specific is all..
 
A lot of them get flagged and deleted though. Anything that says "gun" usually gets deleted. I had a lot of trouble trying to sell a paintball gun on there, but every now and then you get lucky
 
I believe Craigslist rules say no guns or gun-related items. I do find reloading gear and scopes listed from time to time though.
 
I buy some items from craigslist, my seaches consist pretty generic terms such as grips, mags etc. As mentioned any firearms are typically flagged right away and disappear.
 
I tried listing an AR lower on Craigslist several times and they deleted it every time. Tried all kinds of creative verbiage to no avail. I have no idea how they monitor it, but probably have a laundry list of exception key words programmed in their software.
 
I bought a Mossberg 500 about a month ago off the list.

They are actually quite common around here. You have to look at stuff like Hunting accesories, tools, and be up on funky abrieviations.

My Mossberg was listed as a #12 pump under tools.

I have seen at least 5 guns listed in the past month.

I just missed a M6 scout yesterday.:cuss:

I've seen guns, gun parts, and reloading stuff on there, but as previously noted, they will likely be in abbreviated form. If you do see it, you better contact them quickly before it gets taken down.
 
I figured only the initiated would know when I posted that I was looking for a "Mosin". Sure enough, I was flagged. Someone who knew what I meant flagged me.
 
eBay is actually pretty good about gun parts, although they do enforce the 10-round magazine thing for the entire site.

I don't see very many actual parts allowed. Doesn't meet my definition of "pretty good."

Never been to Craigslist, but it doesn't sound much better.

Wow, that is pretty bad!

I never checked out their policies since I've never wanted to buy or sell gun parts (mostly pocket knives).

I've seen what looked like a decent variety of parts when I've done searches out of curiosity but I had no idea what was not allowed.

Thanks for the eye-opener, especially since there's a good chance Meg Whitman could be our next governor!
 
Glad to see Craigslist does an excellent job restricting law abiding citizens to legally sell firearms and related accessories, but at the same time aids in individuals engaging in illegal prostitution...... :banghead:
 
An ad I tried to run in AZ for a gun safe got flagged and removed, even though I didn't even mention the G-word. (I said it would hold 15 "oblong objects." :D) The one for the case tumbler did stay up, and it sold within a day.
 
I've been tempted to list a "M700 sear disengaging short reset lever mechanism" on ebay just for grins, for quite some time now.....:rolleyes:

I used to see triggers still listed on there for a few weeks after the policy change. They didn't stay listed very long though

Craigslist seems a bit more aggressive...

I recently tried to sell some Crimson Trace grips on the site and was flagged immediately. I didn't see that as a restricted item. Apparently grips can go off at any time and hurt someone. Then I went to the Rants and Raves section complaining that it was okay to allow prostitutes of any persuasion to peddle their wares on the site but I couldn't sell my grips, and that was flagged and removed almost immediately.

I then tried to sell a guitar on the site the next day and that ad was flagged and removed. I didn't realize how dangerous guitars can be.

I know the site is free (for now), but it is a horrible place and I will never again rest my eyes upon any of their pages.
