Hollywood has been playing with the silenced shotgun alot. It has been to my understanding that a shotgun cannot accept a silencer because it has multiple projectiles. So my question is can you use buckshot, birdshot etc. with a silencer on a shotgun, or even with slugs. And has it been done?

The silencers use a fenestrated tube. Provided an adequate shotcup there shouldn't be aproblem with multiple projectiles.

The video I posted is of a screw-on silencer, not a perforated barrel and permanent silencer. ;)

The technology is different than described in your link, and fairly intelligent in design. I'm not sure if it's patented or not, so I will refrain from discussion thereof.

Why?

Tromix was making shotgun suppressors, too, but Red Jacket seems to have taken the design a bit further. Tony's work is so popular he doesn't need the hassle of one-off work.
