If anyone is interested, Cabelas has PMC Bronze on sale for $13.99 for a box of 50. That's 28 cents a round which is not a bad price for what IMO is pretty good ammo.

I had a $30 off coupon for a $150 or more purchase and that covered shipping and tax.

I ordered 12 boxes (600 rounds) for $165.91 delivered to my door.
 
Well I bought some and the first box I had 4rds that would not fire. Strange because I had fired 50rds of winchester white box without a hitch. But out of 50 PMC Bronze 4 would not go bang. Very slight mark on the primer. The range officer came over when I raised my hand to signal a problem and we loaded it back and still no bang. Everything looks fine when they are compared to the other rounds. I am waiting to hear back from PMC.

Very surprising because I have fired thousands of rounds of PMC Bronze and never had a fail to fire.

What kind of pistol do you have?
 
Very slight mark on the primer might be:

If you have calipers, check the OAL of the brass. If it's too low, that might cause the rounds to headspace too deep, especially if your extractor is generous.

The primers might be seated too deep.

The primers might be hard.

Or the best guess....

Your gun might be dirty. Try cleaning it, esp the breechface and the firing pin channel.
 
I've had good luck with PMC as far as shooting it, but it's by far the dirtiest ammo I've shot. I'd still buy it, just notice the crud in the air when shooting it!:eek:
 
I haven't seen anything that specified "live ammo" on any of my orders but he source of the package is always there and the UPS driver knows what's in the box.
 
Kulprit, the only markings other than the sender and the receiver on all the ammo I've had shipped is the required-by-law OMD sticker or marking. None have said "live ammunition" or small arms cartridges or anything. But I've never ordered from cabela's...

Interesting since I have put a couple hundred rounds of it through my P238 and a few
Thousand rounds of it through my P-3AT, Micro Desert Eagle, TCP and Bersa. Without a single problem.

The only gun it didn't work in was a Diamondback that had problems with everything I put into it.

Just a personal observation, stay away from their Hungarian ammo in Browning Shorts. I had too many misfires; gave it all away to others on the firing line. I warned them but you know the typical reaction, "It's probably your pistol". BTW, my PPK doesn't have these types of problems. I didn't stay to see their reaction...:)
 
I don't know if it's just me, or the luck of the draw, or what's suddenly available in the region, but I'm seeing an influx of .380 ACP rounds of late in my neck of the woods. I can walk into the gun shops and WallyWorlds locally and spot boxes of .380 behind the counter with regularity. Most of it is Winchgester and Remington, but it all works.
