I've begun thinking about insuring my FA collection. My homeowners only covers $2K and then the NRA would cover another 1K. But my modest collection has grown a bit over the years and now has gotten to the point that I'm thinking I should get a serparate insurance policy to cover them in case of ...whatever... I thought about a rider policy on my home owners insurance, but the cost in coverage that I looking for ($10-12K) in ratio to what they're presently charging me to cover 275K for home/property insurance is surprising to say the least. About 65% of the current premium. It just seems high to me, but then again, I really have no idea of what a seperate FA policy would cost.
Does anyone here have an insurance policy exclusively for their collection with a company specializing in FA insurance? Any ideas on what a $10-12k policy might run? Any suggestions on specific companys?
Mucho thanks
