That is a heck of a first rifle! I have no doubt that you will thoroughly enjoy it.

Withoutink;

And, you won the wood lottery too! Very nice stock on that one. A well defined grain structure, nice contrast, and running very parallel to the bore. Congrats, you'll love it.

Do the required ammo testing, and find what the gun wants to shoot. That not only means CCI, Winchester, Federal, but testing the various offerings within the maker's lineup. Federal alone I think makes well over a dozen variants of .22 rimfire ammo. Lotsa range time there. It's tough work, but somebody's gotta do it - snrk!

And, you've undoubtedly got one of the last 452's in the pipeline. You won't regret that either. That gun should hold it's value quite well in the future. Ya done good!

Fantastic, well done! Congrats on a great rifle and be sure to keep it forever. Some day shooting rimfire ammo may get old to you, but you will come back to it. Even if it is after a couple decades. :cool:
Absolutely...make sure you keep it...you will return to it no matter what eventual calibers you get.

I definitely plan on keeping it. Thats for certain, I am also looking at getting one lever action and one semi auto .22 rimfire. Probably a Henry h001 or goldenboy for the lever action... Not certain what to get yet for the semi auto.

if your looking for a semi auto thats in the quality range of the cz, id be lookin at the weatherby tube fed auto.i dont think they makum anymore but there are plenty to be had for around 400 to 500 bucks.otherwise id go for the ruger 10-22 as they got lots of upgrades available. for a lever 22, the marlin 39a is the primo lever gun.the older the better. nuttin wrong with the henry, they are awesum shooters.there is just sompin about the rock solid feel of a marlin 39a.they hold ther value better than the henry.

Great choice for a first rifle. Looks as though the only thing you need to pick up is a few boxes of ammo. I'd suggest starting with some Winchester 333 or 555 bulk because it shoots decent, is reliable, and fairly inexpensive...then start trying different types of premium ammo when you start to close your groups.

:)

Beautiful Rifle and great choice! That will last your lifetime and provide many memories.

Enjoy and have fun shooting,

Matt

Nice choice of rifle, scope, and rings. It should be a blast. One word from the experienced, clean that barrel quite well. When they ship it they have a lot of grease in the barrel. Let us know how it shoots.
