Purchased this new at a show in Jacksonville,FL. Took it to the range a week later could not get thru ONE Mag before a shell jammed at it tried to load.
ATI Customer service is terrible. It’s been weeks now and it is still sitting on my desk as a paper weight.
I wanted to buy a nice carry piece but in an emergency, I would probably be dead.
If your looking for something to fire at the range only, OK, but if your looking for self protection, don't buy ATI

i can't find out much about ATI guns, especially the .380. From the price it appears that the gun is made in another country.

The guns are made in Turkey.
I haven't seen the MS 380 but I impulse bought a ATI C92.

Excellent gun. I liked it so much I bought a second one, then a third one.
Two friends have bought two each.
The brother of one friend, after shooting mine bought one.
The small local gun store manager says the ATI C92 is his best seller and every one that's bought one likes it.

I have the Beretta Model 84 (.380) which I understand the ATI MS 380 is copied from. The Beretta is a good gun. I plan on looking for a ATI 380 at the next gun show.

keller65, what ammo were you using? My 84 eats anything.
Hope you get your problem taken care of.

I believe that those guns can use beretta parts.
(sure they aren't made like stoeger, by a benelli (Beretta's parent Co.) company on old beretta equipement?)

Replacing the Mag goes to my displeasure about ATI Customer Service. I sent the original Mag back to them for replacement and its been almost 3 weeks and havent received one back. I have ordered one for the internet, paying for it myself. This whole experience makes me displeased with ATI and its products.

Is keller65 a fraud?

This person, keller65, also threadcrapped on my ATI MS380 review yesterday, over at Northwest Firearms Forum:
http://www.northwestfirearms.com/ha...can-tactical-imports-ms380-pistol-review.html
I registered here at THR to warn y'all about this poster.

Just like in this forum, the NWFA commenter is a new member who has never posted before.

The screen name starting with "Kel" and located in Florida ought to tell you something.

And the claim about ATI's customer service being "terrible" is blatantly untrue, according to NWFA members who actually know something about the company.

My MS380 isn't a Swiss watch, but it functioned without a hitch on the widest hollowpoints and the nastiest old range ammo that I could feed it.
Here's the video review if you don't feel like reading the NWFA thread:

Until he provides some verifiable supporting information, I can't believe anything keller65 writes.

Conspiracy theory bro. I highly doubt he's a kel-tec employee. I bet he's someone with a legit complaint.

I don't think that you register for two new forums and make the utterly bogus claim that ATI customer service is "terrible" if you're legitimate.

My issue is that this guy hasn't said what his issue is, other than he hates ATI CS

I'm sure ATI's customer service is feeling close to the same about his
I bet he's like Ms. Swan

Details will help others answer the question, until then OPERATOR ERROR hasn't been ruled out.
He said he couldn't get through a mag without a jam. He sent in a mag for replacement and it's been 3 weeks, and hasn't received a new mag. It's all right in this thread.

I believe he has a legitimate complaint and is ticked off.

That said, I have an ATI 92C and it's awesome.

you are darn right i am mad. when you buy new, you expect it to work. in addition, i had it looked at by a number of people who have supported my complaint about it jamming as it attenpts to load into the chamber. i tried steal jacket, hollow point, different manufacturers of ammo with same result. yes i have never posted before, but i felt it was important enough to say something. as for customer service, i expedited the Mag back to ATI thinking that it might be the problem, well its been 3 weeks and i still havent gotten one back, and this after making numerous calls to them for resolution. furthermore, i traded in two nice carry pieces and cash for this. Mad, you bet i am. by the way, i purchased this for my wife as a carry piece. What if......

ms380 problem

i have ordered a new mag online and will try to see if it resolves problem. i thought the beretta 84 was 13 round, will it still fit, the ms380 is 12.
For those who think i am just a complainer, along with all the calls, i also sent ATI digital pictures clearly showing the problem.

good point, you would of thought that they would of said that, but they didn't. oh, how about send it back and we will send you a new one, seeing as though its only a couple of weeks old. the pictures were only sent to them to identify and clearify the problem i was having. you would think that after seeing all the pictures identifying the problem, they would of wanted to get the gun back the verify that there were no manufacturing problems.

Ms 380 update

`Just received a the new magazine (the one I paid for) from Centerfire Guns. IT did NOT fix the problem. Seems clear to me this MS380 and possible others are defective. if you dont carry, its no big deal, but if you carry, you may want to be sure to go to the range and do some serious shooting just to be sure.

I'm just curious what 2 nice carry guns plus cash you traded for an ATI MS380... Couldn't have been too nice considering the ATI is ~$325 new. Is the one you got new or used?

I don't own one, but I have shot a few different ATI guns and I've got no problems with them. I don't have any experience with their customer service, but this is the first bad thing I've heard.

In any case, even the top names ship a lemon now and again, but it's been my experience that they will work with you in order to satisfy the customer. The only firearms manufacturer I've had issues with is the CS department at Braztech/Rossi.

Regarding the ATI 380. Bought it at a show for $350 on Saturday and just now returned from the range. Here's my report on the first 100 rounds. After a quick field cleaning and a touch of lube (that came in the case with the gun),what I found was a surprisingly strong recoil spring and some machine markings.
It only came with one mag. I loaded the mag fully with 12 rounds of Lellier & Bellot FMJ 92grs (inexpensive) ammo. The first three mags ran fine except the last round failed to chamber completely. Tried the 4th time with only 3 rounds – same thing – last round failed to chamber. Attempts 5 and 6 ran perfectly and the gun locked open on the empty clip. With the 7th and subsequent mags the only problem was the failure to lock open after the last round.
That being said … this is a fun gun (my first 380). It shot straighter than I thought it would. The slide is harder pull back than I imagined. Wish the serrations were on the front of the slide as well. The trigger isn’t bad and buttons and levers are easy to get to without being in the way. All in all, I’m impressed.
Now to clean it and see if the machine markings that I found earlier during prep have been smoothed out anywhere. After one day and 100 rounds, I think it’s a good buy. I’ll do a follow-up report after 500 or so rounds. Hopeful I’ll still be as impressed.

furthermore, i traded in two nice carry pieces and cash for this. Mad, you bet i am. by the way, i purchased this for my wife as a carry piece. What if......
What "two nice carry pieces and cash" did you trade for a $350 gun?

I have the Beretta 84. Excellent gun but costs almost twice what a ATI .380costs.
The local gun store had a ATI .380. Since I like the Beretta 84 so much and the ATI is almost an exact copy and I like the three ATI 92C I have, I almost bought the ATI .380.
Someone else beat me to it. As far as I know they have had no problems.

BTW, all the above took place back in Aug 2011. What happened to keller65?
