What is your most fun plink. rifle: 30-50 yards?

All of my rimfires, very accurate little rifles. Just plain fun shooting old fruit (apples oranges etc) with an old marlin 81D, with peep sight, and offhand, 7 or 8 hits, out of every 10 shots, at 100 yards, on a good day.

Shiloh 45-70 reduced down to .22 LR

I have sort of an addiction to .22 lr semi autos rifles. Picking one would be difficult. But, I'd say, today, my Remington Nylon 66.

I toss a couple of golf balls off of my deck and shoot them with .22 cb's out of my Marlin 39-A.

A .357 levergun with .38 specials really shines at 30 to 50 yards. You have to start factoring in drop soon after that.

Relatively quiet and very light recoil. That takes my favorite spot for centerfire.

The old 39A takes my favorite spot for rimfire rifle.

For fun, it's got to be an M1 Carbine for me. It powerful enough to make plinking targets react (water-filled stuff explode, etc), but has very little recoil and is a super-handy size.

ARs are also a lot of fun. I'm about ready to buy an AR of some kind, so soon my M1 carbine will have fierce competition in the "fun" category, I'm sure.

Top would have to be my Ruger 10/22.
A close second would be the Springer GI. Yes I enjoy shooting 45ACP out to 100 yards. You'd be surprised how many times you can hit a paper plate or gong once you get the hang of it.

Folding fun

Keltec Sub2000. Hits to 100yds, low recoil, small package, smiles all around.

The CZ-452 Scout is deadly accurate out to 50 yards and is a blast for both adults and kids to shoot.

That's it?? Yours must be defective, my 452 Trainer pulls a 2.5" at 200yds with CCI Blazer :D

Within 50 yards I like large bore cast lead bullets at moderate velocities (Cowboy loads) in .44 Special or .45 Colt. No question where they hit but from a carbine length barrel the noise and recoil are mild. If you cast and load your own they are cheap.

My favorite for plinking is also my first firearm. A Ruger 10/22 with 2.5-10 power zoom scope. You can't beat it for knocking the pull tabs off pop cans! :)
