What is your most fun plink. rifle: 30-50 yards?

May be wrong for this forum but it would be a nicely tuned .177 Diana RWS Model 34.

I have a single shot Remington .22 that is dead accurate...followed by a Marlin 90 or Glenfield 60. Nothing wrong with my 10/22 either.

With the major improvements to my SKS with the Tech Sight, two more questions:

Did most of you who listed .22s leave the original open sights in place?
Lots of Ruger 10/22s were mentioned.

How many of you added a Tech Sight (etc), Red Dot (etc) or scope to any rifle, or removed such a device?
This is just an attempt to inspire discussion.

I have a straight 4X on my 10/22. I haven't shot it in maybe 15 years and rightly should. It is a little unusual sporter model. Never saw another one although I imagine there are quite a few more. ;)

Fun Gun to shoot

I like my Rem. 581 (22cal) and I do use a scope. Old eyes can't see open sights. A 6.5X24 scope fixed that and it is very accurate, with Rem. round nose, very cheap to shoot.

My highly modified Ruger 10/22 or one of my totally unmodified Russian SKS's.

I have one too. You are right, they are very accurate. In fact, shooting at paper gets boring with it.

I have a stable of 10/22s in various configurations (Tech Sights, pseudo-AR, varmint, etc). .22LR = guilt free plinking.

Definitely my Saiga 7.62x39 or even my 9mm Hi-Point carbine. Yes, I know I said Hi-Point ::GASP!:: but it is very fun to shoot and pretty darn accurate.

My Savage 24v chambered in 357 over 20 gauge. Salt is the 357 and pepper is my 20 :)

Just a fun shooting gun. The 357 is surprisingly accurate.

It is in stainless, so even better :)

Tons of cactus have met their deaths behind my 24V !

Savage bolt action 30-30 with peep sight and cast bullets.

Marlin 357 lever action with fixed 4x scope and cast bullets.

Kel-Tec SU-16C.

Romanian 22 trainer rifle.

Ruger Single Six 22 LR.

Currently my favorite plinker is a Ruger 10/22 with fiberoptic sights. I am giving some serious thought to picking up an old Winchester or Remington pump action .22 for plinking, though.
