DC government is purposely misleading ...

I confess, I did not read the article but who is going to call them on it? AG Holder?
We all have a lot of work to do to clean up this mess.

MutinousDoug is right. We have to start from the bottom up and clean house. The Second Amendment is supposed to protect us from tyrannical government. This might be the most "anti-gun" government I've ever seen and the media sure isn't helping our cause.

Sorry, but I missed the part where it was shown that this is being done purposely. Where was that again?

Double Naught Spy,
Emily alerted the police department of the difference from what the statute actually says and what is the D.C. Police Dept. says is the law. She even had a lawyer read the statute to be sure. However, the D.C. Police Dept. does not feel what they are saying is wrong. Even if a specific case eventually gets thrown out, getting arrested, finger printed and ... is a major hassle. All because the local police department does want its citizens to have guns.

Uhh...did you actually see where the video came from?

It looks like a video of an interview she did w/ a local D.C. radio station. I think she is most likely getting under the skin of the anti's there.

For background to benefit those who may not be regular readers, Emily is a reporter for the Washington Times (see http://www.washingtontimes.com) who wrote an article on the frustrating experience she had w/ legally purchasing a gun in Washington D.C. She put the spot light on how Washington D.C., despite what the law says, does not want its citizens to own guns.

This is actually on the Washington Times website, and right on the site, it says that this is a NRA interview.
