My stainless SW 64-3 4" .38 special for a HK USPc 9x19 with LEM trigger?

Neither really fits a role that I need... just looking to trade up. Both are in about the same used but very good condition. I think the HK is far more valuable...

I agree, the H&K is more valuable and probably easier to sell in the future should you decide to do so. I say proceed with the trade.

But what do I know?

I don't think I would trade. The HK is a fine firearm, but overpriced in my mind.
The S&W is a 4 inch k frame. And in time will be VERY hard to find. I think it is worth more in the long run than a common 9mm. The HK would bring more now.
But in the not so distant future the S&W will be more valuable.

The HKs are awesome, and heads and shoulders above just about all else. If that HK were stainless, it'd be worth even more. Gunbroker has used ones going for around 5-600

64-3's are nice pistols, but they're not pinned and recessed or anything, and they are just .38 special (as opposed to a model 27) GB has them used for 300-350. I mean, I'm all for revolver nostalgia like anyone else, but that particular S&W is nothing too special.

If someone is dumb enough to trade you a USP compact straight up for that revolver, take it and run, and if you miss a revolver later, buy a model 27 and enjoy .357

Made the trade. Thanks for all the advice. Took the LEM HK UPS compact to the range. Really like the little pistol and trigger. Well made, reliable and accurate.
