I just heard back from Dee Ecker this morning that they are shipping to distributors and they are already backordered by 12 weeks.

I'm so happy !

I've wanted one of those Pitbulls in 9mm for the longest time now!
 
Anyone know why they had discontinue this version earlier? Are there any improvements with these latest release?

They have only been shipping the .40 up til now, everyone has been waiting on the 9mm.

Back in the 90s the original 9mm Pitbull was chambered in 9mm Federal, a rimmed cartridge. Both the gun and cartridge were short lived.
 
Thanks for starting this thread. I may get one of these as a carry gun. Keep a 9mm pistol magazine with it to hold reloads.

I really like the design of it [saw the .40 cal version]. I like that the barrel is at least just over 2" instead of the normal snubbie length barrel. I would be even happier with a 3" - 4" barrel, actually. Barrel length plays little in carry. width and shape of handle does.

I'll keep my eye open for these hitting the market. :)
 
I heard the grips are bad because of the muzzle flip in the 40SW, hopefully the 9mm is more managable.
 
Has anyone here ever fired a .380 from a 9mm revolver? Is the recoil substantially less than a .38spl. in the same sized gun?

Because of the different head diameter 380 would have to swell significantly to seal in a 9mm chamber

If you guys are looking for a Pitbull 40SW, there's a guy on Sigforum selling his for $290 including shipping and suppose to be LNIB. I was tempted on the 40SW but going to wait to see what the 9mm is like as well as getting out of the 40SW and more into the 9mm.
 
Who's selling these? There's nothing on Charters web site and the only listing on Gunbroker is for 9mm Federal?
 
So far most of the dealers I have called in the Northern Illinois area have no idea these are even out yet, so each dealer told me they would make calls and get back to me. Gat Guns gave me a price of $380.00 but they also warned that the 12 week back-order time might be a little optimistic.

And also... I don't think they are shipping thousands of these out or anything like that. It's not like three or four of these are going to show up tomorrow at every gun store in the country.
