What do you think of Sellier & Bellot ammo

I've never had a problem with it. I cranked through a whole case of their target load in my 870 one afternoon, and I have used their .45s from time to time. Works just like any other ammo.

It's good ammo and can usually be had for a reasonable price. I've used pretty much all of their "common" handgun rounds without issues.

If you reload, be aware that S&B primer pockets are notoriously tight.

Don't know how good their ammunition is, but the brass is pretty good for reloading.

Decent ammo at an affordable price. I usually pick it up at the local gunshows because it's a lot cheaper there than at the nearby gun shops. Very pleased with the results from their .38 Special wadcutters.

I have had problems with it that I believe were due to their hard primers.

I have had many failures to fire and in multiple guns so quit using it many years ago.

Never used any rifle rounds, I like it in 9mm a lot.

I like S&B in 9mm a lot. I have heard people say they have hard primers but they have never been a problem in my 92FS, even after the d-spring modification. They seem pretty accurate, and they feel like they have a bit more gusto than some of the other cheap practice ammo, but maybe someone else can post the ballistics info since I don't have it in front of me.

Usually they run like $15 for a box of (50) 9mm at Cabela's, but on more than one occasion I saw them for under $10 per box, and I promptly scoop up about a dozen boxes

I have shot a bunch of S&B Buckshot and Slugs with no problems. Their slugs are similar to Brennekes and are very effective on hogs.

I find their 9mm FMJ to be a bit more stout than regular domestic range ammo.

From a reloading perspective, they used to make the cases out of mild steel with a brass colored wash. Once I learned of this, all my range brass got sifted with a magnet. Sure enough, a couple of these impostors would turn up. They seemed to have switched back to brass the past couple years, but still pretty hard to resize.

I have a bunch of it in both 9mm and 380.
Zero issues with either.
And generally priced very low compared to a lot of other brands.

High quality ammo. Never a problem with it. Use it a lot.

9mm s&b is great, no issues. It says it has a higher muzzle velocity than most others and I can just barely feel the extra heat. They seem to be high quality IMO.

when we buy store ammo we buy either UMC or S&B. Of the two S&B is by far the better round. Never a problem and it does seem a nice and warm load. Although to be fair, I've never had a problem with either.

Always worked fine for me. Some of their pistol "brass" is actually steel cased with a brass coating/plating which is a bit annoying. It'll still reload but I usually sort it out with a magnet for later use.

Buy them in bulk when Cabela's has a sale.

Never had any issues with their 9mm or 380acp.

I used a lot of S&B in different calibers but mostly 5.56, 9MM, and .45 ACP. Never had a problem. Good ammo at decent prices.

S&B ammo is top-flight stuff. You really can't beat it in terms of quality.

Been shooting it regularly for over 15 years now. Great ammo.

I shoot a lot of it in calibers I don't reload and have had good luck with it. I wouldn't say its hot, by any means, but it certainly has a little more behind it than the bulk stuff from Federal or Winchester.

The best thing is, if you're patient, you can find screaming deals on it. Last year Cabelas had 9mm for 8.99 a box, shipped. That's getting close to what I can reload FMJ for, not counting my time and effort. My closet is overflowing with the stuff.

ETA: we run a lot of it through subguns because it's cheap and a little hotter than the bulk stuff at Walmart. Seems to help the open bolt guns function better. I didn't think about this earlier.

Their .357 Magnum is weak. No kick. Shoots like .38 Special.
