well i said screw it they were on sale for 150. so i got one. it came to day and after figuring out how to use one. i never used and electronic one before. with help from youtube. i made 100 270wsm 58 gr of imr 4350. every single one came out to 58.0 i was impressed. i also checked with my hornady digital and my lee beam scale. all were correct. now if its gonna last but i have a 2 year warranty. just some food for thought

And look where you have to send it for warranty repairs. Another chinese pc of junk for the American consumer to loose a job over. All over a few bucks.

Where is the RCBS one made? Where is your PC, cell phone, TV, & probably even your shoes made?

Just about everything in my house is made in China. My kitchen knives are made in the USA. They wouldn't be any cheaper if they were made in China.

The ISD is a good mechine. That I have been happy with.

I'm not prejudice I would buy American if I could get the quality with getting robbed. Look at Buck knives. The ones made in China are better at half the price.

It is Corporate America, Federal Reserve, & people to lazy to work that is killing this country. I guess you would still call the Federal Reserve Corporate America but they are so much of the problem that they deserve there own category.

Maybe the problem is just how stupid people in this country are. It makes me sick when I hear parents teaching kids how important good credit is or how to get ahead of the system. The only good credit is no credit & getting ahead of the system is steal from others.

I'll get off my soap box now. Mod
If you need to remove or edit this for being off subject I understand. I just get tired of people persecuting others for the same things that the persecuter does.

Congratulatetions on a great scale/despensor.

Have you figured out you can change the speed at which it despenses?

Don't leave powder in it.

The apathy of the American citizen.

Where is the "You get what you pay for" logic I see with other shooting items?

Oh well, I'm retired and no longer have a dog in the fight.

You might be interested in knowing that the Hornady, and RCBS models are made in China as well.

So just because you can't buy one made in the USA you should decide to support an Italian ripoff company with the worlds worst customer service?

I can't believe you would post such nonsense. I don't know which American made Buck knives you have purchased, but the American made Buck's are far better than the ones they import. Do they even cryo treat the imports? i don't recall. Whether they do or don't, but the American made blades will actually hold their edge better than the imports. If you are buying the American Bucks from walmart's Christmas specials they run every year i would agree the quality is not the same as far as fit and finish go, but you can always buy the ones behind glass for a little more. I also agree that quality fell off when Buck moved from California to Idaho, but to say that they are of less quality than an imported sharpened piece of metal with handles is just wrong.

To the OP you could have purchased one from Hornady for only a few dollars more and if you needed warranty repair you wouldn't have to pay a fortune to ship a Chinese product to Italy for evaluation. I can't believe American companies still sell this stuff. Sometimes the junk works and sometimes the consumer is literally screwed when trying to save a dollar.

Isn't thread-crapping frowned upon here at THR? Because this is a texbook example of thread crapping, and it's in poor taste.

Buy your logic I should not be allowed to my opinion or expressing it.

Smartreloader is a foreign company "Italian" with knock-off products manufactured in china.

I realize the RCBS and the Hornady products are mfg. in china but at least the product is made to U.S. Manufactures specifications and final profits stay here in the U.S. This holds true with computers, televisions, and the rest of the long list of products made overseas but sold by U.S. manufacture res.

Thanks folks for supporting American companies and workers. They are your next door neighbor.

FWIW, I ended up buying the Hornady charge system. We'll see how it works.

Seems that all three systems I looked at had similar complaints re: quality/function.

Now if someone made one in America, wonder what the quality would be?

What is the difference in them buying it from China & me buying it from China except the profits that would have went to them stays in my pockets. That way I still have some money left to help my neighbor down the road when his job is cut so a company can make higher profits.

You hit the nail on the head when you said built to American company specs. China can build it as good as anyone else but greedy American Co want the junk to break in no time so you buy more.

Your opinion is out of place. It is no different then the Lee bashing we see so much of.

As far as "you get what you pay for" most people don't. We have agreed on this before. Just because you pay more doesn't mean you get more.

I'll won't keep the topic up in this thread. PM me if you like.

Congrats on getting your electronic scale and dispenser.
Make sure to check it before throwing charges. And do like you did by weighing the charges against your other scales to make sure of accuracy.

Don't leave powder in them, It can and more than likely etch the glass.
You will spill powder most likely. I know I have with my fathers PACT Powder Dispenser and Scale combo.

And, No offense but I hope you do not have to use the warranty.
Others who have had to use it have had a pretty rough time trying to get heads or tails out of the Customer Service with them.

You can have your opinion, and you can express it in the proper venue, but expressing it by taking someone's thread off-topic and converting it to a forum for your ranting is thread crapping, and thread crapping is rude.

I expressed my opinion regarding smart reloading products and I stand by my comments, if you consider it rude, so be it. Off topic it is not.

Made right here in Texas. Quality? Not sure, but I'd wager its WAY ahead of smart reloader, even with the price difference.

I reread the OP & nowhere did it ask for a opinion. jc you post is off topic & prejudice bashing that you proudly admit.

I have no experience with Pact but have read not so great of comments from those I believe. I do have experience with the ISD & mine is very nice. I have used it enough that if it broke tomorrow I wouldn't bad mouth it. I would try to find another at that price.

just some food for thought

Above quote from post #1, I gave my thoughts.

Funny, I have no use for a foreign company that blatantly copies U.S. products and has them manufactured in china then has them imported into the U.S.

I have more respect for the American worker and labor force.

Others obviously may not share my views.

I'm really surprised this thread has gotten this far. I had a post removed because I gave my true experiences from living in Los Angeles, and working for the city, when the OP specifically asked. Selective censorship? Yes, alive and well...

Sorry jc I didn't realise you misunderstood the post. He was telling you about what he had found so you could consider it if you didn't know about it. He wasn't asking what you thought.

Glad we got that worked out.

I really didn't see a question in there so a thread lock may be coming as soon as a mod reads it.

well it works great. after playing with the trickle speed i get accurate charges. its not american but as being a disabled vet and not getting alot of money anymore i buy what i can afford. i bet half your guns arent from america. so for people on a budget,id say its good. probably not the best, but i never used anthor brand of electronic dispenser so.

Well, my experience with Smartreloader is terrible. I would rather use vice grips and water pipe than the stuff they pushed off as a "reloading press". As far as buying American made; all you market anylists, politicos, and reloading manufacturer "experts", can say and do as you like, but for this guy I will continue to buy anything with a made in USA sticker on it over chinese. I will continue to buy American made, Oregon made if possible, and preferrably Brookings made. At this point in time I would rather buy an inferior (?) tool if made in America than something produced in a communist, sworn to destroy America, country. My little bit won't make a whits worth of difference, but I feel a lot better when I look at an American flag knowing I support it...

I don't have the Pact powder dispencer but I do have a Pact digital scale. I have had the scale six years and it has been a great scale.

I can understand where JC is coming from. I try to buy products made here when possible, problem is it's getting harder to do. We need to move those jobs back here.
