Found a 2" 64 for $350. Lockup is tight and condition is good. This model has the firing pin on the hammer.

Is $350 a fair price? The seller will not budge.

In California that would be a good price

Not a bad price at all. They last a long time without much trouble. Buy it and shoot it often like it was meant to be.

I'd have bought it in a heart beat.

That's my 64 on the right. My second carry gun I ever got (a 640 .38 was my first CCW gun and I still have both of them!)

Not a bad price, I'd snag it. With a light load that'll be a kick in the butt to shoot, nice find.

Dang you guys....
You were suppose to talk me out of it :banghead:
I want it even more now, especially after the pics from Deaf Smith.
If I snag it, I'll chime back in with some pics.

Supposed to talk you out of buying the gun? That's like one crack addict asking another crack addict for help while they're shooting up.

Ah c'mon ! You started this thread hoping you could blame some one else for your buying it ! You've heard all of the good points, saw the pics Deaf posted... how do you like it by now? The only one going to miss the cash is you, then when you open your sock drawer, theres this revolver staring you in the face, "Oh yeah, now I remember." Go get it !!!!!

Skidder,

Just get the roscoe on lay-away. Plunk some down and pay it off in a few months.

Life is short and you won't regret it.

JUST DON'T TRADE IT OFF!!!

No, I still have mine but there are many guns I regret I traded off.

Cool thing is, in your geezer years, you will still have that trusty snub! I'd also get Secret Service Stocks (like I have) or Badger or Ahrends. Add an action job and red insert front sight (Clarks Custom Guns will do that!) and you have an excellent carry gun for life.
