Four Handguns Found At Scene And Rifle Left In Trunk

That's consistent with everything I have read. I have not heard which firearm, if any, was used to murder the mother. Will watch video later.

The initial video from the scene kept referring to two handguns, a Glock and a Sig. But I sat through a news report a couple of days later that amended that and said the "Bushmaster" was the main weapon used. They even said something like, "The coroner on the scene said that the majority of the victims were shot twice with the Bushmaster rifle." Or something close to that.

Yeah, i saw it.

1. A CT state trooper on another site says the perp fired over 150 rounds from an AR-15 then offed himself wth the Glock.

2. The coronor says the victims were shot with a rifle.

3. The AR-15 was not found in the trunk of the car. A Saiga shotgun was found in the trunk.

That was an odd cycling of the supposed AR in that video, looked like he grabbed it from the side to pull it. Ar's don't cycle that way. what am I missing here?

I guess I just do not understand how we could have such conflicting details about what guns were used. Maybe this news clip is older, but this is the first I have heard about FOUR handguns.

It's clearly a side charging gun. Reports now are that it was a shotgun in the trunk, meaning it could be a Saiga-12. It looks like it could be that type of gun in the video and be consistant with reports of a shotgun.

Is CT. one of those states that only legally allow ten round magazines?
Since the police have not released many or any of the facts of this horrific case I am very curious about the laws in Ct.

I definitely agree that it did not look like an AR in the trunk, but the reporter said an AR style gun was found in the trunk. With the medias knowledge of guns who knows what that means.

I expect the "facts" as released by the government entities and repeated without confirmation by a fawning media will be "locked in jell-o" to allow the required flexibility to ram-rod whatever legislation they can through congress.

What was that quote to the extent of - the facts in an accusation not being as significant as the weight of the accusation itself?

If it was a rifle it was an Ak I believe. It looked like one, however it could be a Saiga SG.

time for someone to post the liberal media gun recognition guide again... a lot of these people who tell us what's real and what's true wouldn't know the difference between a cap gun and a novelty bookend.

Was there an assault rifle? Maybe. Maybe not. The point is NO ONE in the public knows for sure. We don't even know if the kid used any "high capacity" magazines!

What we DO know, is that despite NOT knowing, the anti-gun lobby (Obama included) is standing over the bodies of dead children screaming for a ban on items which may (or may NOT) have even been USED.

Let's at LEAST wait for the police report and facts to come out before talking about what we, as a nation, should do. ESPECIALLY when we're talking about further restrictions on constitutional rights.

"Jumping the gun" << particularly relevant to the anti-gunner agenda.

Here you go. Now make sure you guys learn them one at a time. It gets confusing.

ETA: speedway, what's you're reference for the .22 rifle? I hadn't seen that mentioned anywhere.

Rifle? Shotgun? Who knows, maybe both but this is the first time I have heard anything about FOUR handguns. This is the first time I have heard anything besides the 9mm Sig, 10mm Glock, and the Bushmaster.

How hard is it for a news organization to just present the facts and let us come to our own conclusions?

There's the obligatory hoax theory forming as well. That sure won't help us get the real facts. Besides, no matter what a news organization (and I use the term very loosely) learns, it will report only what supports its leadership's political agenda.

If you even just casually look at the video of them taking the long gun out of the trunk, it should be pretty clear that it isn't an AR. While I have seen ARs which were converted to sidehandle operation, it wasn't on that side.

What are the Medical Examiners credentials to assess ballistic theory?
I am sure we will never see pics of the crime scene which clearly show Lanza in possession of a long gun and handguns with verifiable photos showing spent rifle cartridges at the scene...

Every initial report indicated that 2 handguns were used and a long gun left outside the school, either dropped on the ground of left in the trunk of the vehicle.

Not One initial report made ANY mention of a long gun being involved in the actual shootings.
This "Fact" only became "Clear" once media hysteria began to develop.
Frankly, I think anti gun Law Enforcement Officials are lying and forcing or allowing others to lie with them in order to force an agenda down the American public's throat.

If true, it indicates a level of corruption that demands private ownership of firearms.
Hitler and his henchmen were also masters of deception and unbridled cruelty

Adding a bit of unsubstantiated word to the mix.
A friend of mine involved in Law Enforcement mentioned that the two guns actually recovered inside the school were an H&K P30 9mm and a Sig P238 .380 pistol..
Again I cannot substantiate this as fact and neither can he as we were not ever there.
Just saying that I agree.
Something is fishy about the information coming out of the News Sources at this point.
