new guy Hawkens question...

Got a New to me .50 CVA Hawkens, have a good friend whos been shooting black powder since '74 showing me the ropes, scored the rifle for cheap, still accumulatin all the things i need to shoot this spring! Cant wait been wantin to do this forever finally getting to do this, my question is about the screw between the triggers, seems kinda loose, it doesnt slide in and out like its stripped but it seems to hang down a bit (ive got big hands, kinda getting in the way) so i turned it back in a bit, so that its not in the way, should i worry about it backing out or should i do something to keep it where i want it, i.e.
locktite, etc. included a couple pictures before i turned it in a bit.

thanks, the guy we got it from had it given to him, grandad i think anyway he had the screw tightened all the way down and commented that he couldnt get it to function properly well no wonder, i may locktite it so it doesnt back out.
bore looked good, a little corrosion around the nipple, somebody had replaced the drum screw (?) with an allen screw, but all in all its a beautiful rifle and for $75 bucks! got the rifle, some supplies (not everything i need), half a box of roundball and pyrodex i think we did alright
Learning this stuff has been on my bucket list at 41 i'm finally getting round to it

yeah i tightened it back up, checking it as i went, it was in the way before...

yep, thats what my BP friend/mentor mentioned... i just tightened it up enough to get it out of the way of my finger...
