So I'm having some difficulties with my RCBS Lock-Out Die. Just setup my press for some W231 (first time using it with W231) and the powder keeps sticking to the plastic tip. Never had this prolem with any of my other powders. I've degreased it with a few different things, used a dryer sheet, and coated it with graphite powder, nothing seems to fix the problem. Any alternative suggestions out there I haven't thought of?

If you have a case neck luber, try some of the powdered mica that goes in it.

Might also try a humidifier, as dry air is the main cause of static.

Try a humidifier in your loading room. I assume you are in a cold climate. I fight issues all winter here in Alaska. I have a small amount stick to mine no matter what. I go with it as long as it isn't a lot. I really do not see much of a variation on the weight from it. I weigh about every 10th round with my progressive and it stays on even with the little stinking to the lock out die.

ole farmerbuck,
Did you still have static cling?
Better complain to the dryer sheet makers or could it not be static?
It wasnt me with the static problem. You told him to use a dryer sheet and I only pulled the part from his post saying he had done that already.

ole farmerbuck,

I understand but didn't make myself clear.
The OP has the 'cling' and just about every conceivable correction means had been brought forth.

I was restating what the OP had stated that he had tried, only I was agreeing with your statement that it had been tried, both before and after your entry. Was that confused, or did I loose it again?
Oh, darn, now I'm confused.

End result, try everything, a couple of times or more.

I use HP38 and I have had this problem too. Pretty much eliminated it by wiping with a NEW dryer sheet and coating with powdered graphite. Still have a few granules occasionally but not enough to make a mess or cause a problem.

Did you try spray graphite it seem to stick much better than powdered.Let one coat dry spray again.I have the RCBS lockout I had trouble with W296/H110 sticking the spray fixed it.
