Hello All,
I just started loading on a LNL AP press. I’m loading 9mm and using an RCBS lock out die to check powder measures. I find that the plastic tip on the lock out die tends to stick (static?) to the granules of powder. The granules then end up between the base plate and the shell plate holder. Is this common? Any tricks to prevent it?
thanx in advance for your time,
Jason

Coat the tip with powered graphite or wipe it with dryer sheet.

All the graphite I could ever us could be taken from a pencil found on the street. I don't think I could ever use a 1lb can. It is nice to know if I ever need 50lb that there is a source though.

You might be surprised. Powdered graphite can be used for a lot of stuff.
I use it to treat all my powder measures, add it to oil or grease for a little extra slickem.

It works great for lubing inside the neck of bottleneck cartridges but I mostly use it.......
to make a mess.

First, did you spray it with a good degreaser?
Then, apply some powdered graphite.
Also, there are powders, like my bottle of PowerPistol, that seem to be just a tad sticky (may not have removed all the solvent). It sticks to everything--aluminum, brass, steel, plastic, concrete, my fingers,...
